I've used this phone for almost 3 years. I have installed CM13 SaberMod and it runs great :) I don't plan to buy a new phone anytime soon.

bond, 01 Oct 2016facing the same problem with sp 5302 do it really support jio?c5302 is not 4g I think ...c5303 is ...I have LTE option but Jio network not coming

This Xperia SP, I am using for 2 and a half years. Since then I don't feel happy about this phone. It heat up suddenly like when I use internet or play games or browse through the mobile features or when I charge the phone. Also apps takes too much time to open, even my contacts and hang frequently. Overall it has very good features but it's performance is very very poor.

Will jio Sim work on it? My Jio is activated and working in my gionee s7.. But not in xps.. No service and emergency calls only.
Is this phone really can run 4g or is a myth

I have been using Sony Xperia SP for 3 years. Back then it was among the best phone but please dont compare with latest phone nowadays. So far it didnt give me much problem only that the battery had drained and i need to find new battery for replacement.

I was about to dispose this handset but look now, im using this as my primary phone! I chose this phone over my other handset (lg g3 stylus) mainly because of xsp's LTE freq. I only use my bigger phone for gaming and watching movies.

... moreHave you tried cm13? I'm currently on cm13 latest snapshot + stock kernel. Also installed greenify and kernel adiutor. Would there be a big difference if i use helium instead of stock kernel? What cpu governor and scheduler do u use? It seems that battery drainage is evident on cm roms.

XSP is still Alive !! Thanks to the XDA developers !! :) Using currently Android N 7.0 ( AOSP ) only with few bugs ..and the phone is Great !! I really love my XSP !!! :)

Work great in CM 12 Snapshoot...
Everything work well....
Install CM 12 + Kernel Tangerine V11.1 + LSpeed + Kernel Aidutor + Greenify (Not include Xposed, only hibernation user app) battery life is great...

I never thought that i will be using this unit again as my primary phone for calls, texts, and casual internet browsing. Good thing that there are devs @xda who are still working for custom roms to keep this unit up to date. I'm now enjoying my updated xperia sp with the latest cm13 nightly, and so far, everything is working fine. Hoping for that dev to finish his current project cm14 for this phone. 😉

I just got one of these and took a quick photo inside the lounge and have to day it is very impressive quality. I am surprised therefore by others saying this phone has a rubbish camera. Having had an M4 Aqua in the past I do know that it has a tendency to shut down also a problem with video recording where all of a sudden it records only blackness, however a restart always resolves this.
