one question --ram of max gross igb -avaliable ram lot less --NOT ? sufficent for a modern upper range expensive phone ..LOW available ram shall soon fill up and many apps shall NOT be downloadable OR WORKABLE AS WITH XPERIA PLAY .. please give TECH COMMENTTS on this issue ..GSMARENA PLEASE ..

AnonD-73436, 26 Sep 2012guys I think that poor viewing angle screen is a good thing... morePeople beside you can still easily see what you are doing or writing. Its not like a TN panel on a ultracheap phone where all contrast disappear when viewed from the side, these Sony LCDs has color and contrast shifts from an angle but retains good readability.
When it comes to brightness viewed from an angle, it is same as AMOLED and IPS, no better and no worse.

guys I think that poor viewing angle screen is a good thing, I don't like to those who stands beside me to see what I'm doing in my phone besides I don't think that anyone look at the phone screen by angle, in my opinion those who make a big deal about the viewing angle they don't realize the difference between the tv and smart phone

The low white temp on my HTC causes the display to turn a bit yellowish in white colors, even a bit brown yellowish. I will not try to deny that Sony Ericzn had one or two models with a yellow tint as well, which may (or may not, i explain under why "may not") came from poor calibration of the white, but it wasnt nearly as bad as the Desire Z, just a tiny tad low on the SE.
NOW, low white temp is always favorable over high temp for readability outdoors. On nokia N9 there is even a reduction in white temp when display is at max brightness (Auto max, this superbright setting is not available for manual setting on N9). White temp isnt the only thing nokia manipulates on the max brightness on the N9 but its one of the things, and they said they do this to increase sunlight readability. I had an N9 and it surely did something to its display that helped in sunlight, it was not bad at all. SGS3 has a high white temperature, and any SGS3 owner can tell you that its not good in sunlight, so obviously low temp helps, and thats possibly the reason why SonyEriczn experimented with slightly reduced white temp on some models. I believe they sacrificed some color accuracy to increase sunlight readability, and hope they will not do that again, if they do such a thing then they should do it only on max brightness, as Nokia did.

The HTC has a great display, really, but isnt even close to being half the cellphone that the Xperia Pro is, HTC Sense has always been a source of crash and so on. I tried many phones but at the end of the day SonyEriczn was the ones that worked and was reliable, never hang or crash.
Plus, the HTC SLCD display has a very low color white temperature, and other colors are a bit off as well, so for accurate viewing of high quality photos i much rather have a Sony than a HTC or Samsung or whatever, i even take the Sony over LGs IPS displays. Optimus X2 was not even close in competing with the Xperia Pro in color accuracy, only Apple can do it as good as Sony, HTC SAMSUNG LG dont care about color calibration, not even Motorola does (or else they would not be so addicted to AMOLED on their high end units).
For accurate colors, SONY and Apple, and Nokia on a doubtful 3rd place. Doubt because Nokia had many terrible displays where the colors were totally off, like the 5800 which had a very unfavorable color accuracy that made even the mega-mal-calibrated galaxy S look ok (Galaxy S has a white temperature of more than 10,000 kelvin, thats why its so super blue where it should be white)

There is a bit change in resolution than xperia s, but it is better than samsung in quality, but you know they need to mark it and support it by other products and accessories

once you tilt the phone EVEN A TINY BIT the display looses alot of image quality.. pretty much was the reason i sold my xperia S... again this seems to be an ongoing problem with sony and their lcd screens

I am trying to buy some other phones, that's not possible for me.I like two main things in Sony mobiles one is soud and camara.I was looking for xperia Ion but not available in the market. i was using vivaz pro,i waited soo long and i purchased ARC S(of course now Ion is available in market). till now no products of sony are not available in market on time.some times i feel sony r lazy.
I told u again i great fan of Sony. I never,ever buy any other brand. because i love Sony. But what to do
