I got a Note II now so i did a factory reset on the tipo vefore i passed it on to a family member, and its worse than ever now. It can be unresponsive for up to 4 or 5 seconds now. We really have to take it to a Sony service center, this is becoming ridiculous.
Those who wanna buy tipo, please wait till Sony makes a statement about it, since reviews have revealed that the problem with phone going unresponsive is also present on Xperia J. Sony said they are looking into it. If you have to buy phone now then go for HTC Explorer or desire C or whatever you can afford, DO NOT BUY TIPO, MIRO or J.

Tried differents Tipo phones in different shops. Most of them had problems with unresponsive touch screen, to the point you simply cannot use the phone. And yes they have ICS 4.0.4 already...Does Sony not have basic quality control? Seems like they haven't learned a thing from the Xperia mini touch problems. Cross your fingers when you go buy your Tipo...

really good phone...today i was use this phone..the phone touch is so smooth than galexy y..and camera is not bad..and sound quality is just awesome..and phone speed too impressive me..finally i tell..great phone has great feauture at great price..only bad news is the tipo hasnt get jelly bean update android 4.1..but still i am waiting for jelly bean update news to tipo from sony...buy tipo and enjoy.

It doesn't mean more sales or profits and the Tipo is no match for the S III. Well said, no one's gaining anything from Tipo's progressive movement to the top of the scale (which it'll soon disappear from, lol), but it kinda feels gratifying knowing the phone you own is popular among thrifty smartphone buyers :-)

AnonD-72861, 23 Oct 2012guys Sony has announced their JB update list and I didn't s... moreI was disappointed by the omission of Xperia Tipo among the list of devices to be updated to Jelly bean v4.1 and I almost decided to avoid buying it but then...I thought to myself...Icecream sandwich v4.0.4 is not outdated, given that Gingerbread still runs on over 50% of all android devices (quite astonishing).
A 3.2 inch screen is not in the least as vivid or clear as bigger screens, but many, including me, can live with that. So I wouldn't buy a Galaxy Chat in place of the Tipo - It makes no sense. I'd rather spend more and have the additional power that Xperia Tipo delivers, instead of purchasing the Chat with it's poor QVGA 3.0 inches screen. I can bet you won't even enjoy Jelly bean on it as much as you'd enjoy Icecream sandwich on Tipo.

guys Sony has announced their JB update list and I didn't see the tipo in that list. It's better to go for the galaxy chat now as I have done. I know that it doesn't have a gpu but for usual games you don't need one and if you are talking about heavy games and hd games then I don't think that the 3.2 inch screen of the tipo will be suitable for those. temple run lags in the xperia miro too so, I don't think that this one will be better. This is a first hand experience. I'm not talking by just watching some reviews.

Superb Phone for this category touch is very good I bought before one month and I really surprise day by day new things I learn from this phone I really love this phone one small problem in this mobile is Apps not transfer in SD card but no problem Sony give us 2.5 GB Internal memory. I suggest Who want to buy this phone don't think more go get it. Hats of Sony.
