AnonD-72861, 24 Sep 2012I think that the Galaxy Music will be a mid range device to... moreno offence but i dont think it will be a midranger why , 1 reason is that the naming scheme i have told you. there are other reasons . galaxy y was launched in october last year . so it is due for replacement and samsung replaces every product after exactly 1 year .
ace in jan11 , ace plus in jan12 . s2 in may11 s3 inmay12. note in oct11 , note 2 in oct 12.
in mid range that is from rs 10000 to 20000 they already have 4 phones for this year . at 11k we have ace duos. at 15k we have ace plus . at 18k we have s duos . s advance was initially priced at 22 - 25 k range but it has come down to 19k. all these phones are of 2012 lineup . they will get updated in mwc. after they complete 1 year . also they have ace 2 and mini 2 for midrange which hasn't been released till now in india . so mid ranger is full now. it wont be a high end for sure as they want s3 and note 2 there. now lets talk about low end . they have divided low end in 2 segment . one is ultra cheap 6000 rs range and other a bit higher upto 8500 range . which they have pocket and pocket duos ( galaxy y lite). they have launched cdma galaxy y with diff hardware but that is limited as it is cdma and most prefer gsm. so they don't really have a new phone for 2012 from rs 6000 to rs 10000. yes they have launched galaxy chat but as you can see from physical form it is an upgrade to galaxy y pro duos of last year. and a niche phone for text lovers . they still don't have a 2012 phone for rs 6000 to rs 10000 . so it will be 99 % galaxy music. regarding availability , note 2 is shipping with jelly bean already. so after october any new phone from samsung will have jelly bean out of the box. and if that were the case they wouldn't have mentioned it in the upgarade list. note 2 is still to be announced in india on 27 september and i guess that is when they will launch galaxy music. as last year also they were launched together .
and last thing. we already have many models of galaxy y , like y duos , y lite , y cdma . so they might have thought of going with a new name to not confuse . galaxy y means galaxy young. so what better could be the name of its successor than the word music . and hence galaxy music.
so in short there upgarde cycle is like this from past year .
feb mwc - all mid range to low high end devices . may - there flagship . october - note series and a budget droid.
also sony has launched tipo , htc explorer is 1 year old now so all the money will go to sony now. and what do you think samsung will sit and see them eat up. as the no of people buying phones in low end segment is huge. htc wont release any phone now , they have officially announced that.
ofcourse it is my guess and i still could be wrong, but it is a calculated estimate . so chances of galaxy music being galaxy y successor are very high . and we might see an announcement on sept 27 on note 2 launch.

Its just a speculation though. I don't think that Music will be the name of the successor of the Y. Its highly unlikely. And if there is a successor of the Y then Samsung won't launch it before Q1 2013. It may be announced at the MWC next year in Feb. And that means it won't be available until April 2013 in India. I'm not waiting till then.

than, 23 Sep 2012yesterday i bought this phone and when i speak i hear a no... moreyes man. i also have the same problem. My sound is getting back to me as a type of echo or something else. But, expect that, its a good phone....

[deleted post]Not many want 320x240, i doubt many are waiting for it, but its a good fone to bring feature fone users into the Android ecosystem.

also samsung has galaxy s for high end , galaxy ace for mid range and all the other galaxy names are for entry level , like young ,pop , gio , mini ,
so this is what galaxy y successor will be , i just hope it has 3.2 inch with 320 x 480 resolution.

i recently purchased this phone well speaking abt cons this phone's camera is bad n video songs clarity is also bad. the keyboard is bit clumsy wish the screen width was bit more. pros are it has more internal memory n ram is 512mb of all it has android version 4.0.3 n the price is below 10k(rs). on the whole i would rate 3.5 out of 5 for this phone

hey guys if the new firmware update (some people called it ics fix .587 here) for lww, ray and arc has made them smooth then they might be releasing something like that for the mini too. The xperia mini has much better specs than this one and unless Sony wants to phase it out they will provide the firmware update for it too. Don't confuse the mini with the old x10-mini.

It may happen in the villages where the people need to do that but it's not allowed in the cities. I do agree with the fact that the level of noise here is much more than that in your country. As far as toys are concerned I just hate them. Some of them even have more than 5 speakers. You can hear them even from a distance of about 100 metres.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2012My mother in law has Xperia Mini and it totally owns the Ti... morei agree with you it has wonderful specs on its range,but if you have used it for a long time,you will feel mini have a lot of bugs in ics,ics on mini is not as stable as on tipo,i think clicking twice on a application isnt a serious problem and doesnt influence any real performance on tipo
@other anonymous if sony update kernel of lww,they will kill tipo market dude,and sony still investigate their 2011 line,sony didnt promised it dude,so tipo still have advantage about jellybean update even sony can update kernel of their 2011 line,try to think it by yourself if u be a market seller of sony
