been a proud user if xperia u since xmas...
the main negative of this phone as you can see Is it got limitrd memory. so you'll have to carry a USB otg and a pendrive all the time if you want to watch movies, I store music, pics, games & couple videos in my phone, rest goes into pendrive
i havent upgraded to ics and my current version is 6.0.b.3.188 in gb 2.3.7.
here are some games compatible with xperia u
these need quite some free internal memory

needforspeed mstwantd
needforspeed hotpursuit
and here are some that you can have in the phone all the time without any memory issues
drag racing
fruit ninja
raging thunder 2
drift mania championship 2
metal slug
temple run
temple run brave
assassins creed too works, but it got some glitch working in xperia phones as with most other gameloft games
just search for Mali 400 games...

Gathers certain faults which Xperia u doesn't ,,,, also how many Mobiles won't emmit heat after prolonged usage, afterall it's a machine, all the way am using Xperia u since the day of its launch in September 12 ,till date I have upgraded to android 4.0.3 but no single hang or struck I have downloaded almost 60 games n 40-50 special apps from play store till it gives me proud that I'm using something which is giving value for the money I invested on it. Better if your problem persists show it to some other genuine Sony service centers but overall it's good n hitech and technologically advanced gadget from future,,,, features like BRAVIAeengine,,, Dolby digital sound enhancements are the good parts also none of mobile comes with large speakers output it's audible and clear when compared to any other Mobiles!!! -

main bug is 720p video playing. was so smooth in 2.3 but after upgrading its breaking sweats to play 720p videos
what to do now?

However, NEVER forget to do Settings Reset after ICS upgrade.
Good to know: First ICS version 6.1.1.b.1.10 have couple known bugs (like wifi one). If your phone got this version of ICS, and you have this kind of bug you'll have to flash the latest version of ICS 6.1.1.c.1.10 or a bit older version 6.1.1.b.1.54.

And about the ram, i have about 130mb (180 after restart) of free ram all the time... I don't know what kind of background app could take 100MB of ram... Usually they took 5-10 MB if they have some graphic UI like widgets or sth like that. Services like Gmail took 3-5MB only for sync...
So, I don't know how you use your phone, but it's a phone not a lap top... You can't expect to browse, listen music, open tens of sync services and not to get heated or run out of ram. It's redundant... Even a slower PC with 512mb of ram can't do that.
I think you expect too much.

have you lost your senses not to organise yourself to a limit of 300mb of ram and 6gb of hdd?
...to write such an heretic opinion about the best in price tag class smartphone or you feel depressed about a toy? and yes! it is a smart-toy comparing to your smart-fart-reactions!

Bought this crap 7 days ago from a retailer.From the 2nd day itself it showed problems.
1.Can't use for more than 30 mins continuously. It will heat up like a hot plate.
2.Camera quality is good if U see it on the phone screen.Transfer it to a PC and U will be disappointed.
3.The most irritating thing is the speaker loudness.....It's just #*#*~#*#~!!$@*.While playing music @ full volume,U can't hear anything when U R 3-4 ft away from the phone.Absolutely ridiculous speaker!
4.Finally RAM.Only 368 MB of it is available not 512 MB.That too will be decreased to 30-40 MB while running 1-2 apps in the background.
My humble request to all friends who R thinking to buy this phone is that,pleaaaase
don't buy this toy.I made big mistake by buying it.
