J is better only at 4 inch display
U is better at performance (dual core CPU & Mali400 GPU) & camera (720p hd videos )
the 6 gb mem. In U is not a prob. For me

i'm currently using xperia u but my phone seem to have problems when it comes to wifi. i wonder why the wifi connection which i used before suddenly become easily disconnected, even when the connection signal is excellent. the worst thing also happened when my phone couldn't even detect a wifi, whereas any other laptop and phone could easily detected. i hope someone can help. what's the use of smartphones without internet connection. :(

for all the ppl complaining that this phone is slow. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!! if ppl are looking for a lag free low priced android phone, i advise investing in an xperia j. its not lag free yet but will be as soon it gets jellybean in the coming months

and after updating. I did factory reset.
so I've to flash it through flash tool to 6.1.1.C.1.10!

n360, 07 Jan 2013same videos I used to play on gingerbread. it run so smooth... moreTry factory reset after upgrading to ICS. I have no problem with that... I can even watch 1080p videos without lag(it convert them into mp4 first)... so :)
XU is great phone, since i've upgraded the newest version of ICS I have no problems, it's working like a dream, never lagged at me, not even once
Maybe you're just using old and buggy sony firmwire... Visit sony forum and you'll find a way to flash the latest and most stable version of ICS 6.1.1.C.1.10

hey guys the ram is showing only 368 mb free... i know the remaining is used by the OS... but when i add the memoery occupied running apps and cached apps plus the free ram adds up to only around 230 mb... i dont know what happened to around 140 mb of memory... please help guys

hey guys.... my xperia u has become very slow... whenever i open the dialler it takes around 2 to 3 seconds to open... sometimes it gets even more slow... i have tried to stop unwanted apps in the running apps setting but still they start again after a minute or so... please give me some suggestions... i only have installed 14 market apps in the phone...

Just 1 issue
Internal storage = only 4.5GB user available (that's why the phone is Cheap) but you can use BOX which offers 50 GB free storage for Xperia Users,
other than that Xperia U is Perfect
I'm Using Xperia U right now,
Which is pretty good in my hands
The Camera is good for a 5MP,
Great Music Player,
Audio Quality is Very impressive too,
added advantage, light illumination to the Album Art color,
Overall Cheap & Best Budget dual core Smartphone

hari karki, 06 Jan 2013hey guys i am planing to purchase sony xperia u could yo... morego for Samsung galaxy S advance better than Experia U ,I have been using it for 3 mnths now battery life not that great camera ok the camera button on phone is not that great..u have to press it very hard..and also after updating the phone to ICS the phone has become very slow there is a lag..

Even i am facing issues after i updated to ICS.There is a lag whenever i open any applications its not worth updating to ICS.......not good phone and the battery is not that great.
