works great in Gingerbread OS. dont upgrade to ICS because handset works to slow. camera is so good, video recording is xtraordinory(720ps). but battery backup is not so good but ok for me. in this handset HD vedios run
very smoothly(MX player is best).xperia U is loaded with xLoud ,DLNA,WiFi hotspot,OTG(on the go),SONY mobile BRAVIA ENGINE,5mp auto focus rear camera,0.3mp front camera with vedio calling support,and lots of free loaded applications and much more.........

Not recommended this phone! I have this phone for 8 months and its touch not properly working now. Sense of its touch getting decreased.

I am so glad that I got it xperia u but could not support sd card why and don't show wallpaper without crop them and when I upgrade my phone in4.0ice pl help me

Guys, is the latest available ICS update stable enough and lag free? I would like to upgrade to ICS but afraid that my phone might get screwed up with too much of lag and bugs as many reports claim. Will the service center guys do a fool proof, lag free upgrade to ICS?

I also reseted the phone as per the suggestions here but the phone was not working at its best. SO finally I headed towards Service Centre, so I came to know that the upgrade which is available is from Google and not Sony. So wait for Upgrade from Sony which would be designed specifically for this phone. If anyone has upgraded and are facing problem, they can go to service centre and the service centre will degrade the phone to 2.3.

hey buddy you have to root xperia u by unlock root and then install directory bind if you want to play hd games having sd data if your 4gb storage is not enough by otg u can connect pen drive and you have games sd data on pendrive then you can use to play hd games by directory bind this can remove memory issue for more information about how to use directory bind go to the youtube

i forgot to unplugged my unit while its charging its like 6 hours . when i turn my unit on its not working.. does it mean its already damage? i used other cellphone its not like this .does it mean the battery is sensitive?
