Unofficially, if you root your phone AND have a copy of the 2.3.7 ROM, several webpages suggest you can use flashtool to revert, but that will obviously invalidate any warranty you may have. Before trying (or paying) to revert it's worth doing a factory reset - I and MANY others have found ICS works significantly better afterwards.

Hi, the text on my walkman has just ape. on the main screen it is fine but when i go into the app itself i cannot read any text on the playlists, titles etc.
I upgraded to ics at the weekend but up to this morning the text was fine. I have had a bit of a fiddle but cannot see where or what has gone wrong.
any help of suggestions welcome

Somebody tell me pls how to update xperia u to ic... moreI reguest not upgrate do ICS as soon as u purchase the phone . u should enjoy the GB for sometime and then update bcoz once you update u cannot go back the update will be availabe anytime . So i think gb is also good so enjoy it for somethime . Xperia U fan.

Sony Xperia U is the best thing that is available in this price range. I dont understand why people think that they should get a bmw in the price of a honda! I have been using it since a month now and i have not experienced any lags, any connectivity issues or any problems for that matter! The build quality and the amazing screen is just awesome in this price range, infact i prefer the build quality of U to the shitty plastic of S3. If you are still not convinced i suggest u dig deeper in your pocket!

When you have run this with appropriate settings, connect phone to computer via USB and copy off the contents of the folder ".semc-fullbackup" in the root directory. Then you would copy it back on in the same place afterwards, and run "Back up & restore" again. However if you don't wipe the media area as part of your resetting (usually not necessary), you wouldn't need to do the copying on to another computer bit.

This should lead you to the necessary details, which you can manually enter at Settings > Mobile networks > Access Point Names > Menu > New APN (ICS, but think same in GB).

Sony Xperia U is the worst phone I have ever purchased.It always gets disconnected while talking to some one.
Is there any replacement for it or any solution, please suggest.
