Then go to the main xperia u blog and you will get a list of si numbers that have recieved the ics updates! So far only 7 si numbers are present but many more will follow. Most recent batch was rolled out 3/10/12! This is the place to look as your si number will appear as soon as ics update is available for you. Thats the best you will get so its just a case of waiting now unfortunately.

Im having a problem with update. It took me more than 4 hours and used more than 80MB preparing but it did not update. how long should dis upgtate take?

i bought d phone after a long confusion,,, but seee nw am very much happy with it... if we r ready to compromise in keeping a usb ...nothing to worry..go for it..

It is being rolled out in phases, so not everyone gets it yet, and those with SIM-free phones will get it before those with network branding.

I'm quite happy to admit that I am cell phone challenged. SIM cards have a corner cut away to help stupid people insert cards in the correct way. However, Xperia U has a new system'Micro SIM' an adapter with cut out corner for stupid people. The diagram to insert the whole card is under the battery. Surely there should be a mechanism which does not allow stupid people to insert the card in the wrong way!! If one makes that mistake the phone has to be dismanteld and a new receiver has to be replaced. 5 days at a cost!!! What a pathetic performance. I'm sorry I chose Sony.
