Their is an off-white hue, on white screen...not exactly the best. Had to do software reinstall from day one as had Wi-Fi connection issues. Plus noticed if you do a restore of settings reset alone, it does not come back to life until battery pulled out, and rebooted.... hope the alleged ics update may cure? The supplied keyboard is too small, go keyboard allows height adjustment, which I use and is now perfect. This phone is mediocre alone, sadly.

I have owned this phone for about 2 weeks already and this is my opinion so far. Note that I have also owned an Xperia X8.
The U is noticeably less loud with the speakers than the X8, which in my opinion is not very loud at all. If you are two rooms away you probably won't heat it. The speed of the U is very nice. I was afraid it would be laggy but in my opinion it's fast (compared to the X8, it is amazing). I also compared to the iPhone 3GS, and it's a bit faster. Having more than 8 apps open won't be an issue. The storage space is good for me but others might not like it if they download large games. And people, you must be very lazy if you keep asking about storage and don't do your own research on the specs. You guys piss me off. Read the freaking comments! Anyways, the screen is sharp, dense, and overall great, but I wish it was amoled for more vibrant colours. And OMG the screen protector: best screen protector ever because it itself is scratch resistant. Haven't got noticeable scratches yet! The keyboard has features such as if you go back to previous words that you realized you didn't correct, it will remember and give you suggestions. This might be more to do with Gingerbread than the phone itself. Overall, I'm very happy with how fast the phone is. Multi-touch is good. The camera is ok, actually is kind of sucks in low lighting but very good with lots of light. And the panorama feature is cool (it has it before the iPhone 5)! The battery life is slightly higher than the X8. You might last 1.5 days with on and off internet, calling, etc. The phone is comfortable to hold; I love the size. In the end don't hesitate in buying this phone. I got it for 210 USD on Amazon and I feel like it will last me for more than 2 years without pissing me off with slowdowns and what not. So buy it!
