Got mine yesterday and I am totally inlove!!!
Really good photo's for a 5mp camera. And music sounds good, great display too!

Camera's being great for me. Really no idea why all you people are having such bad experiences, unless you've forgotten to remove the shipping plastic. In low light the quality drops off significantly, but in good daylight I've had some pretty decent results, certainly as good as my 4MP compact. iPhone 4S still seems to do a bit better, but that's the exception not the rule.

don't believe with cyber his opinion is not true.i've been using my xperia u 4 1mnth no problem,you can use the power saver.and adjust all the settings to save battery life.the camera performance is good,i like the smile detection.same as digital camera.the features of camera great..you need a super loud speaker?buy china phone..
I really like my xperia u.and waiting to buy xperia acro s..
xperia u is a mid class smartphone ok.
and it's top 13 in top 20 best mobile in the world.you can check at the net.

well i m the fan of sony ericsson from last 7yrs e i hd sony ericsson xperia U from last 1 month all the features are no doubt v. good but i m facing slight prob. the ringtone volume is v. low which is not audible fr that i hv to sale out kindly gve me sugesstion if nyone hd.. m facing prob. and dont want to sale .

Have been using for more than half a month now. Thought before this unit is good. But, as Sony has proven they suck these days. I really love the user interface, but why the hell release 2.3 running phone so late and delay the ICS update? Are other developers doing so? No! There is no excuse for delaying the update at all. It's not like ICS is a new system, Sony just has the weirder workpower ever.
Now, the camera. This is just awful! Thought Sony could do more. I know it's not a flagship model, but it should not take so disasterous photos also. The quality is bad, like really-really bad.
The only good thing about this phone is that battery lasts good for me at least. I can get by 2 days while messing around.
So, in conclusion, the phone sucks as Sony released it with 2.3 so late and delays the update for months now.
This phone should be only bought when you have no idea what Android is and somehow "dual core" sounds good to you, as the price tag is not so high for these specs.

This Sony U come with 1305mah battery,,,which is not suitable for dual core processor. if u will use internet on this mobile continuously over 30mints..it will loose 30% which is nt gud. at least sony should provide more than 1400mah battery.

already i have one from today,it's total junk,loudspeaker volume is too low,camera performance is disaster,the phone gets overheated and i will take it back to store tommorrow,and never buy sony again
