Anonymous, 25 Jun 2012hey guys.. any idea how to get connected with wifi on Xperi... moreNot seeing the network, visible but unable to connect, or connects but no data transfer?

Make sure wi-fi is enabled at all, ensure your router is set to a channel the phone can receive (this can vary country by country) and remember passwords (even the hexadecimal-looking ones) are usually case-sensitive. If no data transfer, try a power cycle on the router and/or phone, and make sure your router isn't set to only whitelist certain MAC addresses.

teeqah, 25 Jun 2012i'm really eager to buy this phone. but bcoz of the 4gb mem... moreYou get 2GB essentially dedicated to apps, plus 4GB media area that can be used for app data storage and some apps that can be fully installed/moved there. That really is a LOT of space for a device not really made for heavy entertainment use. Whether it's enough will depend how many such apps you want to install, and how much music, photos, video etc you need to share on the media area. Only you know your needs.

sony lover, 25 Jun 2012I bought the phone from 2days , looks brilliant and so beau... moreThe camera button requires a VERY stiff press to wake from standby. It's a two-stage button (like all good cameras), but the second stage is tough. Perhaps once in ten times it doesn't respond at all, not sure why.

The battery life should indeed be better. I get 2, 3 sometimes even 4 days out of charge, so since you are not playing constantly, getting less than 12 hours life doesn't sound quite right.

Hi Guys, Can you tell me whether "native active sync" can be used with Xperia U. If I am required to use native active sync, how should I do that in Xperia U. Any additional software is required to be installed ?

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2012Yeah,but having "USB ON THE GO" can be a plus poi... moreUSB OTG is the only thing that can keep me interested in xperia U.. But not the cloud space!
Cloud space is not at all a good option.. Firstly u will have to upload everything.. And in a 2g network it would take ages to get it uploaded.. After that, if u wanna use the things from the cloud storage, then u will again have to download it to your phone before u can use it..... It is so damn irritating...

One of my friends has it.
Compared to my xperia U,it has horrible screen and lags behind far.And not to mention the absence of front camera and HD video recording. And how to justify xperia U's premium feel?
But it has expandable memory and a louder speaker but not the sony quality.
But I guess Neo V would be a better option,if USB OTG and cloud storage of xperia U,as in my previous post, doesn't please you.

You can connect even an external hard disk to it,provided it doesn't use too much power.
And 50 GB free cloud storage, which still I haven't used even after one month of buying this phone is a bonus.
The only problem of USB OTG is that it consumes too much electricity, other wise making it solve the memory problem.

And htc one v also has many many complains coming up for it!!!
By the way, Any handset is outdated only when the technology used in it is outdated... But now also technology of neo v gives a huge competition to other phones in this price range.. So I don't think it is outdated yet!

hi,i m using sony ericsson cedar fr last 18 months and planning to upgrade to xperia U. only problem i m having with my current mobile is extremely low speaker volume since last 6 months. its so low that i cant use the phn in market place n even in office, i hv to force n adjust the phn into my ear. my phn usage is very high like 2 hrs a day( fr which i mostly use headphones). does this heavy usage has to do to anything with speaker volume issue.?? my friend using xperia x10 mini had the same issue.i m told that this is chronic issue with sony phones. Has the sony tried somthing diff this time...? so i want to ask ppl here who r using this phn that what r their reviews about speaker volume ??? any response would be apprciated.

i'll be using it for net, apps and storing videos.

is the internal memory is sufficient enough to store 30/40 HD videos and 50 apps ?
