I posted what i got... moreNo u don't have to root it just buy an otg cable ie is cost rs.100 and it will work nicely...u have to download an application name ASTRO FILEMANAGER...after connecting this otg trough ASTRO u can view all data's of pendrive...

Can any one here tell me what does this USB otg means and how important it is in a phone ...am planning to buy xperia u ..will this phone have any problem regarding its non expandable memory ...any if any one uses this kindly confirm me the battery backup ..

If u dont believe me still share me your email address, i will forward you the mail i got from sony.
Anyway, if you say USB OTG is working then i'm ok, in fact i'm happy coz i was looking to buy this mobile. and stepped back when support people informed me it doesnt have USB OTG.
Can you please share a video in you tube, connecting pendrive with USB OTG? Should we root to use this option?

Also, what headset you get along with the pack? in-hear or normal? how is the sound quality in speakers and in headphones?

hey which 1 is better? U or sola? U has a front facing camera but sola has microsd slot n nfc n slightly larger screen..bt i like the design of u more dan dat of sola...bt nw i heard dat u does not support usb otg....so we hav only 4 gb of user accessible memory other dan 50 gb of cloud storage which wl require internet or wifi connection 2 access...so im confused which 1 to choose...pls help!
