can anyone say what will b user available memory?? can we use all 4gb for storing songs, videos n apps?? I never play games in my phone n wanting a reasonably priced model with good specs. so plz tell me.

Dual core was great. But the memory only 4gb and unexpandable. Maybe Sony has already planned to make their own cloud..

Read the whitepaper. It said the system memory is 2 GB, phone memory is 2 GB and the 4 GB is internal STORAGE. so, total you got actually 6 GB. Big enough for "normal" usage.

But this is meant for light time-passing gaming, not HD. I totally agree that this phone is not for you. You should wait for the Xperia Sola, which has a slightly larger 3.7" screen, an interesting form factor, the newly launched 'Floating Touch' technology and complete with a SD card slot and a removable battery :)Or if you can spare some more money, maybe the Lava Xolo or the Xperia P :)

go for xperia neo v or pro than this . My music library is 9gb even 2 hd games like fifa mc3 can fill ths up . 4 gb is a joke they should have opted for 16 gb and it is priced at 17.3 k while it should be around 10 to 15 k . Even galaxy y can be expanded to 32 gb . I own neo v and using 32 gb crd . And usb on the go can expand its memory carry all that wires and stuffs like idiot person . Its better to go for neo v as it has more appealing specs except processor.

Yup for gaming well and good but again the prob is how many games can you still. My bro uses S2 with internal memory 16GB and already his memory if full, he is gonna purchase 32 GB external. Each HD game he loads is close to GB so easily your memory is gonna get filled. I would love to purchase this phone only if it has a memory slot... ;-)

If anyone sees 4GB in the spec sheet, he naturally assumes that user accessible memory will be around 2GB. The usual/normal/accepted way of presenting the specs is to mention the total memory available and not just the user accessible. And also, 8GB means that all the apps will be installed in the internal storage (which is around 2GB). So, to sum up, you need more memory to install large game files. But this phone has a 3.5" screen. So no one is gonna buy this phone to play heavy 3D games. The people who will buy this phone, will most probably play games like angry birds etc. In that case, 4GB user accessible memory is enough for other stuff, like songs and movies. And for a everyday normal user, who plays such games, browse a bit and play songs will appreciate the fact that this has a dual core processor, as it is more than enough for this kind of use. This phone is targeted towards a certain audience. I hope you understand what I mean :)

Whether Xperia U has inbuilt memory of 4 GB or 8 GB. Flipkart website shows its 8 GB internal Memory. While GSMArena spec shows that 4 GB Internal Memory. Confusing...
