Sony xperia is having 8GB total internal storage...
Two parts:
1 > 4GB > Only for user(music pictures videos other)
2 > 4GB >(1)android system storage(where os store)
(2)for applications which you download to your device
The official site shows this data...and they also confirmed that sony xperia u will surely get ICS(4)
So...and 4 gb is enough for entertainment...
But I will wait for samsung ace 2 and after that I can decide which mobile is better for me...
i will buy...(1)galaxy ace 2 (40%)
(2)xperia u (60%)
this is why because we all very knows what worst samsung hardware is...
+
ace 2 have dual core 800 MhZ where xperia have dual core 1GhZ...and ace 2 looks like the whole range of galaxy...no style...where xperia have stunning look...

Stuck to 4Gb internal memory and no scope for expansion? What an epic fail. i use 8 GB SDmemory card . Upgrading to Xperia U will b a downgrade to me..after wher will i keep my accumulated data?? Moreover 3.5" display is tad too tiny.
At Rs15k approx ppl will opt for Galaxy Ace 2 which has a the same NovaThor Dual Core SoC with Mali400 single core (though only 800Mhz),but betters the Xperia U in all fronts.

When the HTC Diamond was stuck with 4 GB non expandable ppl were criticising it. That was like 3or 4 years ago. How did Sony manage a 3 year old blunder?m

rmx, 30 Apr 2012it will probably b priced at 15k n compared to neo v it has... moreya but neo v's expandable memory really matters n it has a larger display to. larger display helps u in typing watching videos photos net use etc....

But battery life wasn't so good and i wonder how much worse would it get being online all the time (to use cloud storage).

Sony is trying to injure themselves again. 4GB memory? That is nothing for a smartphone and since it is not very premium, the price will probably not be so much, therefore the target is young people with limited funds e.g. students. The problem is that young people usually love listening to music on their phone, watching movies and playing games. And all these things have sony eliminated with 4GB memory + no sd card slot.
