Don't buy this phone it is outdated because sony ICS update not work fine(lot of bugs) and they are not going to upgrade it to Jelly Bean.

I have purchased xperia u in last October, it is good phone but the camera is not working fine in night.I have visited service center for upgrade to ICS but they said there is no official update to this phone and they can not upgrade it. If anyone want to upgrade,can upgrade on its own risk.
I don't know why SONY service center not upgrade it.

Hai Xperia U users,
I'm using this phone since 8 months;
Works fine. But, sometimes it's sencer keys get hanged.
I wish if would be fine, if it comes with 4 inch screen & expandable-slot.

this phone is excellent but i just dont get enough battery backup...........sony please do something if you can

when i finish the connection in wifi,indicator signal wifi is sill in on,so that when after a few minute that i want to activate the wifi not i connect, and forced to hangup and to reactivate the phone.
has suggest me anyone have any advise?

This Phone is great and Fast if on Original OS V2.3. If you Update to 4.0 ICS version you will be disappointed. My XPERIA U as of now was a lot of lag, not working very well, not good update for the new version. I contact Sony on How i downgrade my version so it work fast again like before. But they never answer. Now i need to read all review before i make an update on my Phone.

i have this phone for 6 months, No major problem, just the shortage of storage and battery life, but its not a big issue for me, the OS still runs good, although not as fast when its new, the camera works great too. btw i have ICS in it

I've had this phone for about a week and I must say that this is an excellent phone. The 8GB of memory is enough as long as you don't download loads of apps.
The LED strip above the cap is amazing and the dual-core 1ghz processor is speedy. I think another excellent thing is the removable caps (black,yellow,white and pink) if you order a black then you will get a pink cap etc... If you are looking for a phone that is around £100 to £130 then I recommend this strongly!!! But if this isn't for you and you can stretch your money then maybe look at the Sony Xperia P and Sony Xperia S

vijju, 09 Aug 2013im using xperia u mobile, it was not upgrading 2.3 ginger b... more- 1- check update center on handset .. 2- download sony pc suite to your computerlaptop.. connect sony u to sony pc suite and follow on screen instructions -- shall easily upgrade to 4.0.3 ics --no 4.1.2 . ensure battery is at least 80% charged .. tell if that helps ..

Phone i s good buy, ,, one year has gone since I haa purchase this phone, but now the phone is getting slow since software which I am downloads has slow down the speed, Otherwise picture quality is to good.You tube is not working properly. People are saying that you have to updates the software.

im using xperia u mobile, it was not upgrading 2.3 ginger bird to 4.0 ice cream sandwich or 4.1 jelly bean.
please help me, how to upgrade for latest version.

M Using Xperia u from last 1year,Owsome camera clarity,Owsome Sound,Owsome Touch,user Friendly...But Should have a Memory card Slot also, Low memory space is a Big Drawback..

To all those recently wondering/complaining about the available memory not being 512MB, this is perfectly normal. Like most computers, your phone reserves a certain amount of the memory for the Android system (so that it never gets usurped) and hardware devices. The graphics chip that the Xperia U uses reserves a bit more than some do, though, so available memory may end up being a little lower than on some other devices with 512MB RAM fitted.

i use xperia u. its pretty awesome.but there are some problem my ram shows less than 512MB its about 350MB and when i install some important software skype, viber and some more it says package invalid. for this problem i have tried many things. nothing usable. pls sort out this problem.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2013I agree! This mobile is perfect if you don't update to Android 4Mine had Wifi issues with Gingerbread, had no choice but to update. It wasnt terible after update anyway, some more stuttering sometimes, could live with it. Overall its a good phone, camera is relatively fast and sharp, the display extremely sharp and the compact size is still better than all newer midrangers. Sometimes i cant find it in my pockets because its so small.
