I got a brand new Sony Xperia U, last friday and everything was great until I realized my market wouldn't work. :(
I use a data plan, and my browser, youtube etc. work alright. Google play asked for an account, which is fine as I have one. I put in all the details, tried logging in, and it said "cannot establish a reliable connection with the server."
I tried clearing the data, and cache from the manage application option, yet it doesn't work! I've also tried force closing it but nothing works.
What else could I do?

Worst SONY phone,i updated to ICS 6.1.1.B.1.10(many bugs,freezing almost the time,battery draining too fast and camera problems like yellow spot and a purple background).After i flash with ICS 6.1.1.C.1.10,still problems,no difference.Now i downgrade to the GB 6.0.B.3.184 and it's a huge difference.I have more RAM available,the phone works flawlessly.But i have only one problem:the camera quality it's very good now,the purple background disapear,but still i have the yellow spot when i take a picture or record.Can someone help me with this problem?

i got a problem in my xperia u.please help me to solve it. it get only EDGE 2 signal only....no 3g :( this is not a sim isue..already i flashed and change sim also .but the problem still here.

Hah, Im using Xperia U in its OS ICS, its smooth, all problems on GB were fix in this update. i dont know why people saying their SXU are lagging? i wonder why, disable all useless built in App's and uninstall unneccessary built in app's,

the only reason that we buy the phone is because we cannot afford the P, which have a greater memory with 1 gb of ram. so stop complaining for such things that the problem is with you not with the phone

Stop complaining of this phoine everyone, its how about you use your phone,i guess you are all phone addict thats why your phone doesnt last. it is a matter of self discipline in using it. its not a play station that you can play for hours, its not a plain phone which you can use continously, it has CPU, which is heating when using for an hours, it is not a hammer that you buy and using it for hammering everything as long as it will not break

xperia u is one of the best smartphones ever,the many reason for the hanging and other problems are because of the upgrading of gingerbread to ICS,if sony companion recomands for upgrading,then only u upgrade your xperia u.iam so comfortable using xperia u.

Guys a new firmware 6.1.1.
B.1.89 is now available for some italian xperia u and those who have updated are reporting massive performance enhancements. Please post any further news.

I've been using Xperia u for 6 months and I've experiencing a lot of problems like.
1) touch ain't responding as I first bought it. More than five keys are not working on the keypad in portrait mode.
2) Memory is too low and phone freezes a lot such that I have to restart the phone by removing the battery.
3) Taking pics with flash is bad. Pics become foggy.
For me I would never buy any Sony phone again. It's over. I just wasted my money
