People don't want to have a medioc... moreThis "shity compact phone" as you call it is the best compact phone on the market ( sd650 is better than sd810) so maybe compared to last years they did not use the same chip as on their flagship but that is fine for me. On the z5c you could fry eggs . I would take a 450 euro 650 sd all day long instead of 600 euro same phone with sd820.

What makes you think US version will be priced any different? The 650 and 3GB of RAM seem to perform better than the z5c based on initial impressions.

People don't want to have a mediocre chip set in a phone that will obviously cost too much. Seriously, this phone is definitely gonna cost around $600. The shitty Snapdragon 650 is too little for what is being asked. Especially when Sony included the best processor in their Compact line of the time in the past. You can't deny that this phone is shitty for a Compact.

Just because the X Compact has a chipset from the SD600 family, doesnt mean its slower than Z5 Compact.
SD650 is as fast as SD810, minus the heating issue.

I honestly think that Z5C is a shame of Sony (as X compact)
So, I'm eagerly waiting for Z6C (or Z7C) with 4.75-4.9'' screen, same overall height as Z3C,& 3000 battery.
I dont care width/thickness/weight, or price.
Don't you agree?? :)

With the lower specs on this phone, something like the cheaper Galaxy A3 2016 version looks like a good alternative to this now.

People are hungry for big numbers forgetting they are not needed on a 4.6 inch phone and that 820 soc drains a lot of battery compared to 650 soc. 820 soc would be bottleneck for this phone. Its like getting a 1080 nvidia card and a i7 to run on your 60 hz monitor when that is not needed and you will not notice an improvement over a i5 with 1070 gpu. People that use brain know this was a smart choice from sony to keep the phone affordable and good enough to not see a real difference in daily perfornance. Trollers everywhere !

As a compact owner since the Z1c and now the Z5c, this looks like a definite downgrade from the Z5c with that 650 chip. No upgrading for me. I will be waiting to see if Sony comes out with a true flagship compact utilizing the 820 chip. Sony, if you are listening, the main draw of the Z1, Z3, and Z5 compacts was that you get all the power of the flagship device in a small package. The Xperia compact series have been the only serious iPhone contender these last several years. Had Sony marketed the phone better, the way Samsung plasters the world with their ads, I am sure the compacts would have sold better.
