I totally love the new design concept of Sony Xperia X series which made of premium metal back finish & 5" FHD curved display .. Sony Xperia performance equipped with Snapdragon 820 processor, LTE (4G) Cat 9 connection speed, 23MP cam with (predictive) autofocus and front facing cam 13MP with low-light scene recognition ISO 6400, 5X clear image zoom, Bluetooth 4.2, Fingerprint sensor, Hi-Res Sound with Stereo speakers and dust/waterproof all those specs in handy elegant design.
it's simply masterpiece.

By your own logic on flagship release, yes a flagship of 2016 will come in september, just as it always did. Or does your speculation say otherwise?
-Speculation says this flagship will be mild and mediocre just like X Performance. Assuming (speculating) Sony has not sold it's mobile division by then.
Why wouldnt a midranger contain top SoC?
Because others dont do it?
-And jeopardize your flagship device? You need to differentiate mid to hi (Flagship) devices

- I'm not gonna dispute you on this one. Sony USED to make the best compact flagship. It's a shame they couldn't replicate the same for the mild X Series. (I'm still a fan of Z Series)

-After reading the article on ASP it's SPECULATED that Sony strategy is to make overpriced underspec phones.
Chinese will alwas be cheaper, you are paying the branding and quality it brings

Q1 Sony should be alright, as their success is still running of Z5 Series
Q2 X Series launched Z Series discontinued, financial results SPECULATED to go down hill.

Anyways, off topic. Look at the price group gsmarena has listed the xperia x performance as. 9/10. No this is not a good thing. Same price group as Z5 Premium. You'd be bonkers to by x performance.

What is the use of 820 chip when Sony drops 4k video and replace it with 1080p 30p. Best feature in Samsung was its AMOLED screen and that made them leading mobile maker in the world. Sony has best camera and sensor tech but it would not put it in the phone for un known reasons. Sony we need best video phone from you, will you deliver.
