This is not FLAGSHIP judging by the specs nor would I consider this flagship in any way shape or form. Midrange specs should never masquerade as flagship!

It won't be a true midrange, but rather midrange that manufacturer tries to sell like a flagship. And to be honest, looking at these new models introduced at MWC 2016 I think it's time for Sony to quit cell phone business for good. They are just unable to learn from their own mistakes. There are a lot of interesting ideas for design ( one of them is here: http://www.concept-phones.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Sony_Xperia_X_concept_1-490x325.jpg) but Sony keeps using the same boring design language with minor changes here and there . One of definition of insanity is doing the same things again and again and expecting a different results.

            I think Sony will relase Z6 this year. Because X performance is not a high-end model. It can't record even 4k video, in spate of lg g5 and s7 has 4gb ram, sony has 3gb.

                The waterproof phone is great, I wash my phone twice a day, just remember close the cap firmly and if the cap cannot close firmly please change a new cap. Even use a waterproof phone, user have to take care of it, maintain the best condition, so that's is problem free, just like my one.

                        sony water proof is gimmick only, they never have intention to replace or repair if damaged by water even all the flaps is closed.. the quality is worsen every time newer model come out..
                        i'm ex-user of Xperia Z and Z3 compact.. i totally disappointed with sony.. i like those time when sony ericcson model K800i, K810i and K850 which all is cyber-shot handphone camera..

                          I am interested and waited for sony xperia z6 ultra with 6.44 display because I can see the large pictures and read documents properly but I will be missing it since sony changed the z series to x series.

The bezel size also relation to user how to control the phone, people could have a better experience because the bezel size is perfect fit not only because thinner, example the physical home key of Samsung at the bottom of the phone, if the bezel very thin, our thumb have to go a lot down to reach the physical home key, unless we pull up the phone some more for better fit and feel.

                                Screen for the Xperia Z2 and Xperia X performance is slightly difference, but the 5" inch screen could have a better grip. The thinner between this two is just only 0.5mm.

                                Is 4K record, 60 FPS 1080p recording 120FPS 720p recording and radio is your primary require than go for Z5. If 1080p video record is okay, than this is the one you can pick.

                                Compare to the Z2, the Xperia X performance has a quote-core (Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo) and Not octa-core and it using Snapdragon 820 and the screen is slightly smaller than 5.2, so the battery 2700mAh should be enough for this phone.

                                        The X Performance is a mid-range flagship, not a high end one.
                                        2015-2016 Flagship Requirements (my standard):
                                        - minimum 8 core 64-bit processor
                                        - minimum 4 GB RAM
                                        - minimum 64GB storage + SD Card
                                        - Waterproof
                                        - minimum 2K display
                                        - USB Type-C
                                        - Marshmallow
                                        If a so called flagship device doesn't have the features above, its's not a high-end flagship by my standards and should not be above 500 euros.
                                        I'd happily ditch NFC, Fingerprint scanner, removable battery, stupid selfie camera, radio, IR blaster for extra battery though.
                                        When is Project ARA gonna see the light of day? :)
