Just saying but I'm running with a Xperia S and have been for well over 4 years since it's launch, the X Performance is a great phone (which I'm getting), really if the NFC location, Camera (picture quality i.e. not 4K... who cares), finger print sensor (again who cares), or any other lame thing mentioned here about it being a bad phone, well then the issue is you thinking your entitled to everything, this is a Professionals Phone, and not a tween's phone, nuff said.

4k IS inside X Performance (probably X too), but there is .apk file in root vendor subsystem, that disables it. One just needs to delete that .apk file, and 4k option will be there available in camera app.
He also stated that you CAN record 4k video without root, by 3rd arty camera apps that offer it. He tried out 4k with Open camera app, and said it works.
