It should have but for some reason Sony didnt enable 3.0 on this device, it is 2.0... the only reason for that i cant think of is maybe it overheats with 3.0 so Sony stuck with 2.0 to prevent overheating?

There are other people saying the same and taking the phone multiple times in the pool and have been using it for a year. No problems.

But, keep in mind this is my usage pattern and my settings...
It may differ in your case. But that is about with any phone.
Camera for me is excellent. Daylight great. For lowlight indoors auto is enough, for dark and night I use preset manual and its great (hdr on, 1/8 shutter, -0.7 exposure). Fhd 60 fps video is excellent.
Anyways, by Arenas merits, with 200 nits, stamina on, background data off...you get about 10 hr wifi browsing, 9-10 hr video, last time I checked about 5 hr of heavy play (Real racing 3, Gods of Rome)...frequent updates indeed increased SoT at the end in my experience.
Anyways, from where I stand, I recommend it indeed for the actual price.

NJ, 12 Sep 2017im having 2nd thoughts of purchasing this phone instead of ... moreI really dont know what Sony did in september OTA update, but I can say with certainty that with same settings and same usage pattern, without root, my SoT just jumped from 6-7 hr SoT to 8-9 hr SoT.
And that is excellent.

. battery life is 10 % per hour usage
complitly screen on .
no hanging fast smooth . camera is nice but when it became hot the camera not working so i am using the app cam from the store called open camera

im having 2nd thoughts of purchasing this phone instead of the X compact since the size of this one is already good for me not quite bulky, could someone please tell the SOT of this phone.. planning to purchase by the end of this month and also can someone enlighten me in regarding of its performance in camera and in day to day usage.. I only play games minimally to kill time and im a field worker and I ride my motorbike all the time since im a field worker....my Zenfone selfie died now due to the reason of getting soaked in the rain that's why I decided that I wont settle for a phone not having an IPXX certification... anyone???
