A device with an HDR display would be the first of it’s kind on a mobile device. With the rumors stating the device would have up to 1000 nits of brightness, making it the brightest smartphone on the market today. This would definitely be a hot commodity… if it were true.
Unfortunately, it’s time to give up those hopes and dreams. Sony Taiwan reached out to the source of the rumors and stated that there is no Sony Xperia X Premium device in the works. Kind of a bummer, but hey, at least it wasn’t released, then features were held back due to a combination of the hardware and software.

Any idea where the "May" release date for U.S. came from on this page?! I mean, the source? Cuz I haven't seen anything anywhere else that says May for X Performance. Just June or maybe July. Man I REALLY hope this is true!! I have the S7 and I am COUNTING THE DAYS until I can finally sell it off and get the X Performance!

3GB RAM only, paltry 2700 mAh battery, 1080p video recording (dafuq?!) and FHD (although not a bad thing but why not go with QHD and bigger battery instead? It's a big downgrade from UHD.) This phone is only appealing to Sony fanboys and no one else.
