4K screen and 1 billion color is so awesome, but with a camera limited to 1080p and basic capturing capabilities doesn't make sense
Sony was trying to make a phone with unique feature but didn't know how to support them, If these specs to be final.. I think this year's Sony flagship device won't match other Korean flagship devices like Samsung and LG in sales
because Sony didn't get it yet, to win the flagships war, you need to be perfect in everything, ... LG came out with unique modular design and used Wide angles cams, which also is great in low-light capturing , Samsung brought back water resisting feature and the SD card, the S7 edge looks charming and the AMOLED Screens can't be ignored, it also has great battery and camera, with pipe cooling system.. Sony needs new tricks

And Samsung trolls will try say that 4k is a gimmick. And so is 4k hdr. Well screw you Samsung trolls! Ya'll just scared cause sony is going to have better displays! 3gb of ram is enough for sony xperias. Samsung will still lose in multitasking even if xperias will just have 3gb of ram and samsung will have 6gb.

this will definitely need a massive battery...4000mah at least...in my opinion we can get used to a slightly thicker phone as long as the battery life is up to the mark...

Over a billion colors, nice. But I don't think it will make that much difference.
However, we are stuck with the 16m colors for a while now.
First 256 colors, followed bij 4096. Then we were amazed to see displays with 65536 colors, and 262144 was even better. Then 16 million color displays showed up, and after that it got silent. And so this is the next step, over a billion.

Sony mobile has poor skills, luckily they get supports from other sony, screen tech from Tv division(its dead btw), PS from sony gaming, audio from sound division, exclusive camera sensor from sony component solutions, and contents from sony music and sony pictures.
So, i predict HDR screen is the only big ugrade, 4GB ram for sure, bigger battery is also possible. And better volume button placement. Thats all we can expect.

I used Samsung before and due to past experiences such as being laughed at cause my Samsung 'flagship' phone is so shitty, I've been really discouraged of how low the quality of their devices are. And when I switched to these companies, I found them a lot better. Sony makes great products. But, how on earth is everyone so freaking retarded and stupid to even choose Samsung over Sony. I don't care how much more popular Samsumg is than Sony. Quality products are the true essence why we buy them which can be offered by Sony anyday. And now, even though Samsung phones are shitty which are almost unoperatable, people ignore those facts because they are so blind about it. And when they find something from Sony that is not good for them, they would like name Sony as the 'shittiest company ever'. But, you are right, it's something to do with the branding. No matter how better Sony is than Samsung, people will never see it because they're to blind to see this fact.
