The right side is mostly senseless the letters p , zero, back space, send button in whatsapp doesn't work otro o p .... Due to this typing is too tough... If anyone find solution jus comment.... Please..

Great performance, no lag till now. Im not having problems with the typing but when playing games and tapping fast on the side part will sometimes not respond. Good quality and good for everyday use.

greetings all, i am hardcore sony user for the last 5 years..started from xperia x10,arc s , neo pro, xperia p, xperia Z3 compact. just thought of commenting about my xa1.
cons:
1) touch is not that as expected...the letters p, and q sucks on my phone
2) feels like 2300 mah is not that enough for a standard user( sugest stamina mode activation)
3) looks lovely..especially black..but prone to scratches
4) speaker not upto the level
5) thums down for 8mp front cam...felt like a 3 mp cam
6) edged corner would be an issue...though elegant
pros:
1) camera beast...23 would make smile on ur face
2)elegant look..especially black
3) pretty good for gaming
4) nice UI
5) no heating issues found till now..
6) quick charging
7) ultra stamina mode is awesome
right now, these all r my experience..now u decide whether to buy or not...suggest not to buy...im not happy...thank you

yes, its hard to get p....thanks to swipe function...i suggest u to chat in landscape mode...what im doing now..lol..still i love sony...

I've only had the phone for a month and if it wasn't for swipe texting I wouldn't be able to form most words. Has anyone found a solution?

i got problems with my handset's touch screen edges as well. maybe because this is a defect? my handset's problems. when i tried to swipe the top, it did not respond properly. also when pressing backspace, q, a, l, home keys, etc. funny thing with this one is that when i tested the device during my purchase, there's no problem at all, and when you swipe the top during locked screen, you can swipe easily, but not sure with the sides. i hate that i wasted money on this device, i should have opted to z5 or z5 compact. i hope they make a fix as soon as they can, i am waiting for their announcement for the device repairs availability.

What a great. phone. Having volte for Jio. Work perfect. Camera 📸 wow low light photos in manual mode just wow. Playing asphalt. Dead Trigger. Mortal combat x. Performing perfect. Audio in headphones Gr8. But in loudspeaker not bad.

The right corner was completely senseless. I couldn't pull down the drop down notification in the right.
The backspace key didn't work properly.
Charging was not happening then and there.
I handed over my XA1 handset to Sony service center on 29th May 2017. Today is the twelfth day. I'm still being told that the parts haven't been arrived yet. Looks like another set of phones are being 'produced'. It is frustrating to spend huge amount on a mobile that is not even having a quick service. I guess it is true that Sony which is known for its quality is falling down rapidly.
So guys, please do a deep check on your handset after buying as these are "declared to be common issues now."
