i bought this phone last sunday may 21, 2017.. i never have regrets in buying this phone.. the ui is so cool and very smooth. unlikely different than other phone brands. it feels like using an ios ui in an android way.... i have downloaded heavy games such as brothers in arms and asphalt 8 and to my amazement,, the games runs perfectly smooth and no lagging.. so when you are into gaming, this phone is the one you need.. sound quality is beyond average ( i am using xperia z1 headset).. loudspeaker isnt that loud but its okey coz i prefer to use headset for privacy reasons.. and for the camera,, its unbeatable.. for the build quality,, its really comfortable to use for single hand texting and also stylish for its head turning finish.. the only cons for this phone is the lack of group messaging when texting. you can never send to many or send to group....

After just two weeks of use, i am fade up with this phone. One time i was die hard sony fan, but this phone really disappointed me. Compare to my Last Sony phone Z phone there nothing new in this new version. On top of it touch responses are so sluggish. Touch not responsive on left and right corners and also top corner. Notification bar shortcuts doesn't work on single touch like Wifi, data, Bluetooth. you have to first select the respective shortcut and manually turn it on to work it further. Really surprised to see that in this cut throat competition Sony is still stuck to old proprietary apps with no new features. Sony's Album app is worst ever app compared to the other picture viewer.
At cost of 21K the phone is not at all good. There are much better phone in market costing less and offering great features and specification. I won't recommend this phone to anyone.

I took phone to sony service, they are replacing the display, yet to get serviced phone, will let you know once received.

I just bought this phone the other day in SM Dasma for 14,990 php. Here are my thoughts:
Some apps come pre-installed like Zalora, Facebook, and Spotify. You can only disable them.
The software is sooooooo lovely... This is my first time using an Xperia and I'm very satisfied. My last phone had 5.1 and Android 7 really is an update for me.
I showed the phone to my cousins and they found it really beautiful. It's jewelry. The bezels look fineeeeee~~~ They actually thought it's a flagship (seriously). I personally like the Black color the most, it looks like an infinity display when the screen is off.
The back scratches real (!) fast and easy. No questions, I guess you could check on the store models. The screen is plenty strong (it fell from a van on a rocky parking lot face-down) and gained a small dent in the middle.
Viewing angles are excellent, you can still see everything tilted 180°.
Speaker sounds thin when the volume is maxed out but gets pretty loud. MH-410c earphones come bundled in the box.
The flashlight is very, very bright (certainly brighter than my cousin's S7 edge). Battery life is not as good as the S7 edge's.
The phone gets warm fast outside.
I'm actually very excited to show my new phone to my classmates this next school year.

Ummm..a little confused here..does the XA1 has the 960 fps recording seen on the XZ Premium? Any owners here? I'm thinking of buying this phone to upgrade from my galaxy note II..

It is a pleasing techs for longevity of battery lifetime
SONY custom battery care features may stretch charging span between 98% and 100%
But it totally protected from explosive battery Unlike Samsung phones such as note 7

i owned xperia xa1...i bought it last week the camera is good for its price and the battery last a day. it has a little overheating issue. the design looks so good. there is a little lag :)

later im going to buy it. superb phone. only downside is MediaTek Processor but everything else is good
