It is normal warm in XA Ultra
For Samsung galaxy phones..they are hot like a hotplate even explosive like note7...
Battery life is OK for 1.5 day and heavy use for one day like most phone's does
Don't get wrong the starting..you install and update and transfer apps and data and so battery drain quickly
Of course it is normal as we are very heavy use in New-buy phone
Disabled some google features you do not use and you should switch SONY unique stamina mood always on..
By the way XA Ultra has very fast download speed
For camera.XA Ultra is Lord of the selfie beating all Samsung phone included galaxy s7 and s7 edge...gsm arena review has prooved it
Have good days with XA Ultra
Keep also in mind I am using XA Ultra

I want to buy this phn. But someone tell me the has some problem. Firstly it is getting heat very soon. secondly it has low battery life. But i think 2700 mah battery is not soo good but average. If I buy this. Will it be right decision for me? ?. Please help me.

one of the most stupid phones i ever bought.........battery life totally sucks, processor is totally fucked up, the phone is so slow can hardly believe that phones from OPPO performing better than this one, went to Sony they just changed the PCB but still is a stupid phone..no changes..wish could ask Sony to refund the money....if just the battery and the processor is changed this phone can be a super hit...........

Switch on Stamina .mood always on..performance is a little bit delay BUT only a little bit merely
Setting via app and you have to disable some google apps service
Moreover you have to update SONY updates occasionally
Keep in mind we have a busy times when we start using the new phone's...and so battery is used heavily
BUT for daily use..XA has good battery life..
I am a real SONY XA Ultra USER..I mean I am not NOT troller...
Have good times with XA Ultra

I bought sony xperia xa last night. before i sleep the battery is 26% when i woke up its totally drain. I also experience it is heating when i actually just browsing.. can i still return this?

Got this 3 weeks ago, Overall it's a good cp. There are two downsides in this phone. First, is the battery. Sony must be out of it's mind when it placed a 2700mAh in a 6 inches cellphone. The battery drains fast. Second, the fone emits so much heat when you are using the camera. Emailed Sony about it and the only thing they told me was to upgrade the system. Should it be a hardware issue and not a software one?

I have the phone (although I'm thinking of returning it) and have been very, very impressed with the cameras. This is the only selfie camera which consistently provides good selfies (I don't think I'm very photogenic, and the selfie cams on my other phones always did these subtle, funky distortions) and the OIS is really nice.
The rear camera does not have OIS, which is the main reason why reviewers have been bagging on the camera, IMO. It's a great camera. Not iPhone 7/Galaxy S7 quality, but just a step below. If you're after cameras and a big screen, this is the phone for you.
I'm just thinking of returning mine because I don't like the way the back feels. It's a thin layer of polycarbonate that flexes quite a bit, and just feels a little bit off.
