Design and build quality is superb, solid, good looking.. Nice mid-range camera abilities, very good selfie camera experience, great loud speaker, pretty good software and hardware.. It's all I need in 1 device, except a terrible battery life.. Need to charge 3x daily.. Also very draining standby mode,, (even with power saving is on)... I'm always 3-4 hour watching video and browsing with 4-5 hour daily... Overall, still a good phone.. 7/10..

I am very old sony fan and lover, purchased my third sony phone, xperia xa ultra 3 days back in Gurgaon, India.This time I am not very happy of this mobile:
PROS:
1. Amazing display like always.
2. Sound quality is just rocks.
3. 6'' phone but easily manageable in the pocket. Phone height could also be reduced a little more.
4. Game is working nicely but I am not very hard android game lover. plays light games whenever gets time.
5. Phone build quality, design and look.......everything rocks. No other phone company is providing such colour options like sony.
6. Notification LED looks very sexy to me ;)
CONS:
1. PATHETIC BATTERY: in spite of sony lover, I am writing this, very sad to me.
when I purchased this mobile, battery was 80% full and it takes me 2 and half hour to complete settings/ app installation etc. After this, battery is reduced to 30% withing just 2 n half hour, very weird.
On sunday morning battery was 24% and I went outside to test camera and pics quality and withing 30 minute phone was switched off even I had not taken many selfies.
Its bundled quick charger UCH12 is taking 10 minute to fill just 15% battery and taking around 3 hours to be full. I dont know why sony is writing it is a quick charger :(
In normal usage of whatsapp/call and to check notifications during office hours battery gets down from 61 to 7% within 8 hours without using youtube/movies/games etc.
Battery drains automatically in night also and its not normal. it drains around 10-15% while none of the application is running in night.
2. Camera:
Night performance of both camera is not upto expectation. not so improvements from my previous xperia C4. I was expecting more because it has 16/21 MPX camera.
3. Internal Storage:
Here you need to purchase a 64GB memory card like me otherwise you won't be able to enjoy this phone. So this is another expense other than the phone. I dont know in which world sony is currently living, they don't even know basic requirement of smartphone user. Memory is not costly now a days, atleast Internal memory should be 32GB.
4. Finger Print Sensor:
It could be a personal requirement to have finger print sensor but its not stopping me to fulfill any of my task in this phone. I am easily managing without finger print sensor hence not so worried about that.
5. Heating Issue:
This Mobile heats up normally like other devices when we use camera and other apps but sometime more than normal like during charging.
My previous sony mobile was also heated up and my wife's samsung j5 as well. I beleive there is no such mobile exists in the world which doesn't heat up in certain situations.
Conclusions: I would suggest If you really a die hard lover of sony like me, its build quality, and selfies, go with this phone . But be ready battery performance is pathetic which is a major negative point of this phone and you have to charge more than once in a day on normal usage (without youtube, movies, games etc.)

Mickey, 04 Aug 2016Just bough mine not more than a week ago. Phone heats up wh... morei own Sony Xperia XA Ultra and i ddnt like it. Its just been a week with me. Battery is so bad, I had to charge the phone 2-3 times a day. Even when its resting, the battery easily gets low and to think I have not added any apps on it since its new. When i took a video, in just less than 2 minutes, the phone gets too hot. Too bad i got too lazy to return it before its week old. i feel so sad because this is the most expensive phone i have so far. My old Samsung J7 is better, i will have to bring it to the tech ASAP because it hanged and i cant use it, i cant get the battery to turn it off since it is built in. terrible!!!

Im not saying that you are wrong about sony devices but kindly try to use their phone and comment only if you find something. If your bases will be on what has been written on its specs maybe your missing something.

I am going to buy this phone and see for myself how the battery will work on this display. The rest (for me including battery size) is excellent! Desogn, ui everything. Ps. I m an exsamsung user and sick of Samsung battery life!
