Get a grip people. This is a mid-range phone to replace the C ultra series. The 2700ma battery is comparable to the rest of the specs (1080p, 16gb, mt6755). The only this flagship about it is the cameras. It's not running a 1440p screen with a sd820. I've been waiting for the return of the high-end ultra series but I doubt it ever happen. But in all honesty, the cpu's in phones these days are getting too powerful for no reason in my opinion. I'm currently looking at the pure xl or the mate 8 for my next phone but both have issues that keeps me on the side lines at the moment. I think I'm going to wait and see what lg drops for the v line.

I would never buy a phone this big with such a small battery. I tried Huawei's Ascend Mate 7 for 6 months and sold it because it was too big for me. However, if I wanted another 6 inch phone, my first choice would be Huawei's Mate 8 - just look at GSM Arena's battery life list - it is near the top and you can buy it from Chinese online retailers for around $500 - I saw one retailer listing it at under $500. I'm guessing that Sony's big phone will be much more expensive, even with its mid range processor.

Whats with small battery? Damn sony !!!! Its 6.0 inch with 8.4mm thickness and only 2700... While Mate 8 7.9mm thick and 6.0 inch 4000 mah...

6 inch FullHD screen+helio processor with 2700mah battery?!!!!!!!!!!!? Even if it has 50MP front and back camera with 10GB RAM and 128GB internal storage I would not buy this shit. Used to be a Sony fanboy. Huh :/

Loved this phone.. If they provided a better chipset then it will be my next phone.. I wish Sony should release a similar type phone with bezel less screen and 16 Mp camera but with a better chipset... Likely snapdragon 652..and priced this Inr 35-38k..

ok i think everybody realize it now,sony dont want to build a perfect phablet
they can but they dont,but i think there will be a x premium phablet too
and it's not about the Mah for battery it's about performance and mediatek cpu's
have low battery usage,like sony m5,m5 with a 2600 mah battery hold more power than z5 with 3000mah,
my only problem is size,6 is to large,5,5 or 5,7 with higher display ppi and better brightness would be so much better

Even that it is strange that it has such a small battery,almost same size as the Z3/5 Compact (2,600) it still has a very good power management (stamina mode) that take it further than other phones.

fans it is time to ignore ...no matter how cheap or expensive ..
Rather let's force them to give us what we want ...
we cant be carrying power bank every day to support battery life ... with 3000mah + am sure on can go all day 9 am - 5pm before thinking of charging again
