I had a note 2 and I needed a new phone, with all these explosion issues I decided Samsung is not safe so I bought this one. I absolutely love it!

[deleted post]Maybe you have not checked much earlier comments in this XZ page from several people, Anyway if you check my previous comments you can see I have put some honest comments as good things and also weak of the phone. It's true I am Sony fan from Sony ericsson era, K700i, Xperia ray, Xperia SP, Xperia Z2, Xperia XZ. I am enjoying every part of this phone and only annoying thing for me was sometimes unresponsive finger print scanner when my fingers are wet and sweaty. What I admire most is it's fast charging, long battery, great front cam and recent nougat update. Does it matters whether I am paranoid? I love my XZ and always trust in my choice, Also I got this phone without a warranty from Hongkong imported to China for a cheaper deal and that's my trust in Sony and XZ. One day if I felt difficult situation because that choice, for sure I will comment it here.

I can easily compare the XZ camera to a host of other device's though, such as the IP7, S7, G5 and a bunch more, but those are relevant 2016 competitors.
I have taken shots in simlair conditions and at similar locations with all these devices and I can see why professional review sites like GSMArena and others have placed the XZ behind them in comparisons.
They are not being biased against Sony, the are simply reporting what they find. The XZ camera isn't bad, your not going going to get a bad flagship camera in 2016 (despite Sony fanyboys constantly labelling everything else as cr*p) but in my own opinion and from what I can see from a consensus of other opinions (fanboy bias excluded) it's simply not up there with the best.

Saturday I went to a Huawei shop and compared with Mate 9, rear cam XZ is better colors and quality, front cam can't even compared, mate 9 high exposure with too much white and less sharp. Curvy back of mate 9 is not good for me though, Cant use phone on table and by one hand. With performance XZ goes same with Mate 9.

Just look back in reviews. Unfortunately, XZ camera came last. Beware, that your in a Sony forum here and generally will only get biased opinions and promotional replies here.

Am enjoying this device despite my disappointment with the camera. Not about to start going all Sony fanboy though simply because I'm again using an Xperia.
Truthfully, I'll probably switch to something else in the near future, that's just the way I am, never completely happy :)

[deleted post]Guess you think this XZ is flawless ? Sorry to break your bubble, but no phone is flawless. Sony has been on a cost cutting venture for years now and doing very little improvements to the Xperia range. This phone is good, but has its bugs like any other smartphone.

[deleted post]The opinions and reviews of Lex79 appear very impartial to me. He obviously owns a XZ and is passing on the pros and cons. People come here for this info. I applaud his honesty. Fact is, you just don't like any critique and can't accept some facts. No phone is perfect. I own a Z5, so I can relate to some of the negetative issues that he has raised.

Just got mine a week ago. Used to be a steeple like other apple users and then I tried song's gadgets. Interesting thing is the support for Sony phones is way better. Screen amazed me at how vibrant it is. Battery life is great, does not take long to get a full charge either. Camera does a surprising job considering its on a phone. I live in Japan got mine through au. It's the like teal colored one.
