This phone is only one that indeed could last you for 4-5 years, if you choose to.
Qnovo battery guarantees at least 4 years until you even notice battery degradation., LCD screen also promises 5 year durability. Sonys optimization guarantees your phone will be working flawlessly for at least 3 years that I know of (I upgrade every 3 years or so, but Xperias left still all perfectly usable)

Isn't the iphone the queen of all smartphones ? at least Sony has the best protecting battery life hardware called qnovo battery tech with very intelligent and safer charging tech.

Non-removable battery.. Such a shame that a phone with good specs like this will only last 2-3 years due to the battery getting old. If it wasn't for that, this phone could last a good 4-5 years with these specs.

Hello... It's upgrade time...I currently have a Sony z3 compact... It's a good phone but getting little temperamental now... So been offered a... Sony xz.... LG g5.... And Samsung s7... What are people views and thoughts please

But that doesnt make XZ any less capable than G5 or v20...
Every phone has its pros and its cons, its up to user to decide what exactly he can live without.
If you were a Z2/Z3 owner you know what Im actually talking about.
Yeah, LG will fix the v20 camera shortcomings, so will Sony XZ's.
But cmon, v20 is really ugly designed, wouldnt buy it just for that back doublecamera module. Dont know what LG was thinking with that. Its almost as ugly as Galaxy S6 back camera module.
