AnonD-608546, 26 Nov 2016Come on guys, the point is simple. Sony is back in the game... moreYeah, the back panel really distribute/discipate CPU Heat well even when I'm multitasking Game, Photo, Social, etc. Apps.
I can also record upto an hour of video @ max 4K, more than an hour if lesser resolution compared to other phones that can't even break 5 min or 10 min.
They can even burn or blow up.

One more thing I was impressed about XZ is, I installed the sensor box app and how nicely light sensor works, when cover the sensor with shadow of finger it shows results very fast and perfectly, get rapid zero when cover it fully. Also for XZ included pressure sensor too.

And with my experience back panel do really great heat conduction and even though on heavy usage I don't feel over heating but normal warm up. If someone say's the phone over heats I doubt of his handset defect though.

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2016Hi!!! please help! i am planning to buy XZ! if ever my firs... moreIt worth every single cent, about the thermal issue i have no idea, but with the snapdragon 820 and alkalido back cover this smartphone should never overheat, the camera of this smartphone is amazing, i mean it is sony's domain, what should people expect, BUT!! The auto mode takes only a good picture, learn how to use manual mode to see the perfection of this camera, you may need only 2-3 tips maximum, oh, and don't forget the dedicated camera button, waterproof, battery life is great maybe not the best, battery health is where always excels, consider 2+ years, this smartphone is one of the fastest smartphones, performance beast!, 2 front facing stereo speakers... And finally the most important thing it is "sony", good luck :).

Camera is superb, much there to explore and have fun with learning and discovering, once you master it there is no better.
If youre a plain and simple camera automode user tho, this phone is not for you, rather get sth like iphone or sammy.

Not all that impressed with the battery life of this phone. Seems like I'm recharging it every 48 hours or less. It's not as if I'm even an intensive user, the odd text message, Whatsapp, and perhaps 15 minutes of gameplay. I'm sure I could activate the Stamina modes but that would disable my email notifications. Is this kind of battery life to be expected?

reason 1, the 820 chipset used.
reason 2, Alkaleido is release heat faster than other material.
reason 3, beneath the Alkaleido cover is a whole piece thermal paste.
reason 4, the lightest software won't run unwanted rubbish apps in the background.
reason 5, signal is very very easy to received, because the polycarbonate for better reception and go a step further to reduce the heat from strengthen the signal.

From my previous experience and friends, the GPS signal on Asus phones is not strong. Kinda weird when the phones are using snapdragon. Xiaomi midrange phones with snapdragon 600 series are better than Asus when it comes to GPS signal.

kenny, 25 Nov 2016currently have a z3+, which is ok, but at times it will shu... moreBackup and reset. Update software and after that continue to reinstall other apps. I'm also using Z3+, it's warm thanks to the snapdragon 810 but its not hot nor shut down other apps. I turn on the stamina mode when I'm on the go and lazy to carry power bank (but not when I need to use Waze), I don't kinda like the display when stamina mode is on.

Hi!!! please help! i am planning to buy XZ! if ever my first sony phone! and i am very excited! but then. i saw an issue about overheating problem in XZ? is that true? is there any issue other than that? is the price range worth it? i am excited i love the camera and quality of the XZ. but i want to know the issue/negatives. and how is the battery life? and I am planning for Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Suggestions please? thank you!!!!

currently have a z3+, which is ok, but at times it will shut programs down due to over heating, which also slows phone down so it can cool down, battery is crap.
i was going to get a 1plus3t, but the XZ is currently on offer !
anyone had similar trouble with the Z3+ and tried the XZ that can give me there opinion ?
