I really l... moreThe Platinum one is a very shiny color which reflects every single details of the smartphone design, it reflects clearly the good and the bad details of the phone and very prone to get dirty.
The forest blue is between shiny and gorgeous, it reflects to your eyes the most important and big details in the smartphone design which are mostly beautiful, and not prone to get dirty.
The blue seems to be better.

1) B&O H6
2) Audio-Technica ATH-ESW9
3) Sony MDRXB950BT
4) Sony XBA-1
Impressions? The sound quality is not bad, but also not great, max 7/10, ie. Sony MiniDisc still kills this phone by far. On the other side, you need an amplifier to get that sound to higher spheres.

Tested out headphone sound on a bunch of others, none compares to dedicated Sony headphones coupled with a Sony flag phone...they just work together for a perfect sound experience.
Except LG, havent tried LG yet, none of my aquaintances own it.

His 3 days experience with XZ was normal. It's just something he's not happy with, similar to my experience with other brands. Brand A, I wasn't happy with this; brand B, I wasn't happy with that; brand C, I wasn't happy with something else. And so I went back to Sony, issue solved.

First, other company will know how bad their skills, and how poor they are actually. they even cant do little thing like tweak notification, status bar, task manager, etc. Then they need to build a software and hardware with others? bad idea.
Second, works with others means they will spend extra money. They only do cost cutting, like make a cheap lo cost flagship with skyhigh price, light modded UI so they dont need many engineer, poor marketing.. etc.

Still sturdy and bulky look and form? Well, I do agree with the minimized top and bottom bezel but I supposed its only for concept purpose. Sony does not have the enthusiasm of considering blogs, recommendations and comments. They ignore it actually, while all other manufacturers except Apple, worked hard for phone bezel and size minimization. What Sony did not know was that they failed in the market just because of these issues. You can put or Institute all the latest technology, but if the phone looks so bulky, I am sure it will be ignored. See how Samsung or even the amareur Huawei success in the market? Its mainly due to the look and form factor as they consider blogs, recommendations and comments by others.

Here we go again...another ho-hum, over-priced so-called "flagship" phone from SONY. Why do they even bother to try to compete in the world market? Their camera sucks, there is no fingerprint scanner on US models, no dual-sim on US models, no "quick charge" charger plug in the box yet the phone has quick charge capabilities, no SONY retail outlets in the US for purchase and service (like Apple), no headphones included, still overheats and still only has 3GB memory while others have at least 4 and some 6 GB, ugly color choices....shall I go on?
But most important, their customer support is totally worthless. You can only get warranty service on your SONY phone if you are in the country of original purchase. This means you cannot get service on a phone purchased in USA if it breaks while on vacation in Europe, for example. This is absolutely unacceptable. Really SONY? Even in the country of purchase, you must send the phone back to SONY and wait several weeks to get it back, with everything in it erased! No wonder you are losing your a$$ in the smartphone business.
Look, I am not a fan of Apple, and I own nothing Apple makes, but you must admit they have a far superior all-around product. First they make an excellent highly regarded well-made product, but more importantly, they back it up with truly amazing customer support.
SONY will never amount to anything if they don't get their act together. Who is running SONY anyway? Do they read these reviews and learn about their potential customers?
SONY need to either lower the price or make the XZ more competitive. If they want to run with the big dogs, they need to start acting like they are serious about this business. So far, they are far behind the curve with no improvement in sight.
