Settings - Backup & Reset - Factory Data Reset
What PC do you use? Windows or iOS? Try on a different PC to see if the same thing happens.
Then perform a repair through PC Companion.
If nothing helps, take it to the place you bought it from to give you a replacement.
But from what you've said, it seems to me that you have issues with the PC drivers.
Also, what type of connection did you set it to when you connect it to the PC: MTP OR MSC?
Settings - Xperia Connectivity - USB Connectivity - choose MTP to see both internal and external or MSC to see only the SD Card as an USB stick.

Only thing what I got when activated usb debugging, I was be able to see phone as a disk. When I opened it there was a file for pc companion installation. That's all. Of course I tried to install from there, not only from sony home page. Result was the same. PC not see a phone, Companion not see a phone. Only sound from a phone (or pc, not remember now) when phone is plugged and after then a second sound that phone not succesful plugged.

Lower stereo volume on quality stereo speakers that are set to quality surround sound which makes dac split the decibels.
Automode of the Top class camera that you cant learn to use.
Only 2900mah best quality battery that lasts for two years without performance drop.

Sony engineers are so stupid. Never fix the main problems since the first Xperia.
-low and poor low speaker, poor camera, low audio level, poor battery. This is why stop buying sony. U deserve to be bankrupt Sony. Bunch worthless engineers.

With so many manual controls available today in top camera phones, its quite easy to set exactly same parameters for compare shots, same ISO, same shutter speed, LE and WB level.
And actually truely see which camera is able to make best photos.
I indeed asked if XZ shoots daylight shots with 8000 ISO in automode, got no reply.
Go troll elsewhere, your "reasoning" is quite faul.

How could ghostwriters praise too much of it? IMO I think the projector will become the stellar in future, but they have need more trolls praise and deification it like the Amoled do so.

I just came here to know some details about the phone... morelook, Sony has a lot of enemy . if u really want to know what this phone is capable of just leave this place and head to YouTube. this phone has far better performance than anything else in the market except iPhone but you don't have to take my word just visit YouTube. The thing is, many people are just here arguing blindly over matters they have absolutely no clue about but my guess is they are mainly angry Samsung fans probably with explosives in there hands or there jean pockets close to there nuts (and.. that will be nasty). just go to YouTube and you'll thank me later.

IMO I think flexible screen will become a temporary tech, because the projector will become the most competitive to flexible screen. BUT, all in all that device should have the premium battery, don't like the Samsung Note 7 recall twice even can't get a clue of it flauty.

Guy's believe me sony is the best best best...company in world earlier i used sony z3 now xz.This phone is world best camera phone, even in low light. Specially this phone looks very sexyyyy...i love sony....I'm a big fan of Sony and i used all sony product such as sony television, phone,head phones, home theater etc...sony Xperia xz has world best camera and i compare all phones such as samsung s7,apple i phone, google pixel, moto z force etc..
Believe me guys..
