I dont understand what people keep condamned sony phone espicially a ram,3gb of ram sure enough,because sony is most well optimised brand
apple iphone has only 1gb of ram and now 2gb of ram,coming soon 3gb of ram,but people keep bought iphone,because it also well optimised
think twice before say something about brand that already veteran in this global

hello. Qnovo do great . it is working great on xperia x !! in battery benchmarks like pc mark we grt 30 precent much result for the battery ! on pcmark xperia x result is 10 hours and 5 minutes but for samsung galaxy s7 is 7 hours ans 33 minutes and for lg g5 is 5 hours and 43 minutes. sony did great with qnovo

Sony doesnt need any OIS as their EIS solution obviously does a better job at stabilisation. Including photos where they now incorporated even Triple focus solution.
Sony doesnt need that extra 1gb ram, as obviously its UI and overall performance dont suffer in any way by the lack of it. Ask any 4gb phone user if their phone EVER uses more than 3gb ram and see...it would be good if it said 4gb on spec sheet, but no difference in performance at all. Phones build up numbers just to impress and sell better. 6gb ram on a phone is utter marketing nonsense for guilable consumers as half of that is NEVER actually used, as is that 4th gb never used. Its android system restrictions, no matter if tech allows it, and itll be like that for years to come.
About battetylife, Sony always has extraordinary standby time, which is NEVER mentioned in battery comments, and really good or excellent SoT due to screen res and batterysaving tech and soft modes, so think again which phone will get you through your 2 days depending on your usage pattern.
Sony has one of the best sound systems around, stereo speakers (which are somewhat lower on volume exactly cause of dac doing stereo but provide superbly pleasing sound), high res sound, best BT sound drivers, BUILT IN noise cancelling, 3.5 jack and usb audio out, including all the soft sound enhancements and those are quite plenty. Its the best sound package on a phone today.
Sony native apps dont have a match, and are in average twice as heavy in feat and user experience than competitives.
Sonys UI intuitive AI usage pattern learning protocols are most developed among competitors, camera learns, battery learns, sound learns, ram learns,
...
Non Sony users will NOT understand any of these, cause they just dont use sony phones and therefore look only at numbers, same as most reviewers that can only compare by spec sheet and preliminary standardized usage.
So yes, Sony IS ios level experience on android but, an android featured one exactly.
Only con here actually is no usb 3 on that usb C slot.

Despite the huge top and bottom bezel, XZ sure looks stunning, I also like how Sony went with Metal back panel this year, which simply makes the phone all the more durable and that's all folks!. XZ doesn't have anything else to tout about maybe other than that side mounted awesome fingerprint sensor.
23mp camera- Sure XZ comes with more features than X performance's camera and may perform slightly better, but then again S7's 12mp went toe-to-toe with X performance and even went ahead in some lighting conditions. So I don't expect much from XZ either.
1080p Screen - Some may say 1080p is better than a 1440p screen as it saves battery, but then again this may not be the ideal phone to use it as a VR device due to lower pixel density. Also they use IPS screen, which is fine by all means but I'd prefer AMOLED over IPS if they would keep such low capacity battery.
Sony's Superior Optimization- Some may say 2900mAh battery is fine as Sony optimization is the best in the industry, but that is not the case, X performance's Endurance rating is pretty low (and that too on a 1080p screen) when compared to 70hr Endurance rating of S7 non-edge ( Snapdragon) and 60hr Endurance of LG G5 and also by today's standard.
Although I'd must say Sony phones feels less laggy compared to Samsung S7. Which is due to their better optimization, but Sony's superior software optimization has little impact on battery life for some reason.
Heavy and Thick - While I do prefer my phones to be around 7.5mm-8mm in thickness and slightly on the heavier side, but I also expect them to come with better battery at that thickness, which Sony phones never have at least not since the Z3.
3GB RAM - 3GB RAM is perfectly fine and should not create any problem up to medium multi-tasking, but who's to say 3GB RAM will still be enough after 2 years from now .
Pricing- Its normal for companies to command a price premium if their product is superior and more so if its a japanese company (lol), but at the same time if a consumer is paying heavy amount, they'd also want the best in business, which unfortunately Sony isn't anymore.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2016*cough* Xperia Z5 Premium *cough*.Z5P only run at 1080p. Its not good for VR. Just like if you have FHD phone and you play 360p video on it, will you expect a good visual? Its not only about the screen, its also about the contents.
PS VR also has 1080p screen. We cant expect a great experience. Oh btw PS is only for kids. Their parents bought them PS so as to they stay home. People prefer something productive than playing games.

The display may look same as Z2 in paper, but the display in XZ is improved overall.
Camera again, much much improved. Comparing Z2 to XZ, XZ has new sensor + new cameraAPI2 software + color spectrum sensor + laser autofocus + a lot more.
Faster processor
And theres a whole lot more. Telling XZ hasn't improved from the Z2 is quite foolish.
