You guys, use the device first before posting comments in ANY apps or websites about Sony or any other smartphones. By the way, I'm currently using the Sony Xperia XZ (Mineral Black 64GB) so uhm, I don't know.... Heating? Nah. Battery life? Hell Yeah. Design? Meh. Camera? Yes Yes and Yes. Performance? Faster than you think. Size? Pretty decent in the hand. Speaker? Meh, but sometimes Yes hahaha. That's how I overall describe this device. Bought this almost a year ago. Quite decent and as a techy-geeky-human, this one's a good android smartphone. (Samsung user (before) iPhone user (before)

thats you personal opinion! about sony!
I am using sony for many years and found devices strong & Optimum. the only reason for sony's declining sales is lack of proper marketing and their will to bundle offer with network providers.
XZP was awarded Best Mobile fone of the year in France at WMC2017 held in march2017.
lenovo, nokia, Hawaii, acer, asus, alcatel and zte are using near to stock android and basically don't have much to offer in terms of branded application. where sony has their own application database which playstore show only if you have sony device.

If you want quality and longevity for a smartphone.Choose Sony or if you want stock androi then go for pixel, for budget phone might as well gor for android one handset.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2017Its been noticed that your quite confused with Sony and bra... moreI sorry,but your comment is somehow mistake or confusing,let me tell my experience with phone,i using xperia z5 premium almost 2 years ,still ok smooth no problem only minor scratch on frame,my friend he using xperia z1 almost 4 years and yet still no problem still smooth,only problem is its charging flap is fell off and some minor crack on screen due to abuse of 4 year usage and other my friend using xperia xa almost a year still working fine,only had minor scratch.actually there still many of my friend using xperia but i skip it, meanwhile my other friend use samsung phone,one of them using s7 edge,at the beginning all fine but after 1.5 year its start lag and apps crash,my other friend using note 4 after 1 years of usage ,battery problem occur and start slowing down...and my other friend use a j5(2015)..after a years it slowing down and screen problem occur...from your comment say samsung has best feature in its ui,yes its true,because before this i using samsung note 3,but its ui is get heavy after long period usage,so i move to sony,i felt really big different in smooth and quality,...just sharing my experience cheers

So, I will help you. IPhone, Samsung, LG, HTC, Google pixel, Oneplus are all good choices of phones as is Moto, ZTE, Hawuai etc, etc. I've been fortunate to use most of these brands through my business over the years, and can only speak highly of them. We have tried numerous Sony phones, but have always been disappointed with the quality and bad customer service. Sony phones have the most pre installed bloatware, that can't be uninstalled. Hence, Sony phones soon become the most unstable and then lag and stutter.
Don't be guided by only one you tube video of sony, as you will find a 100 times more to prove other brands better, especially Iphone and Samsung. If you want the best Android phone, then go for Samsung as its has the most features with its highy customized operating system and features than only now Google Android is copying. Of course, if you prefer Iphone, then go that way.

AnonD-702879, 19 Oct 2017Which among the choices would you recommend then and why?Hello there, i have seen you've got some random replies from Samsung fanboys, some Samsung fanboys has bad habits to thread wrong informations against Sony, IPhone, LG, HTC, Google pixel, Oneplus... be careful, if you can't recognize them because of the Anonymous names you can use the location code positioned at the opposite side of their names, for example yours is (sxss).
I forgot to tell you that if you can find the XZs for the same price of the XZ or even slightly more it would be better in terms of camera performance and it has more ram.

Another information regarding the software and lag stuttering issues, the most flawless and lag free smartphones begin with :
1)Apple iPhone IOS
2)Google pixel Android
3)Sony Xperia Android
4)HTC Android....
And remember Samsung has alway the least software optimization because of their Touchwise UI which is unstable and becomes worst over time, Good luck.

The 2 most respected and trusted and popular brands are Iphone and Samsung. They have built up a strong reputation of quality and features over many years. Sony is not even in the top 10 of Fagship phones in 2017. Obviously there are numerous reasons for Sonys decline of popularity and sales, but its mainly too many bugs in Sony phones for most people. Hawuai, Lenovo, OnePlus, Motorala, ZTE etc, etc are also good choices and offer great value for money.
