You can use the S7 and even the S8 which has a much larger display but has almost the same footprint as the S7 one-handedly and reach the all areas of the display easily. Using the XZ with its sharp corners and thick bezels one-handedly is a pain in the ass.

It looks the business on display in the Samsung Experience store, screen cranked up to maximum, running the demo software package whilst surrounded by impressive looking pos material.
But I think the moment you get it out of the store and start trying to tap out a text message or do a status update whilst running for the bus....you gonna have issues.
Samsung are designing phones for purely ascetic purposes, practicality be dammed. The XZ might not be as 'pretty' but it'll handle a lot better in the real world I think.

But seeing as how I have stuck with the XZ far longer than I did with the S7, I'd have to give my recommendation to the XZ
