Care to show me where is Sony's legendary optimization which you are speaking of, because I am not able see any optimization out of the ordinary.
Also if you think software can completely fill the gap made by hardware then you couldn't be wrong any more.

There's no way I'd pay $799 for a phone with 2700 mAh battery life. Imagine how much the battery replacement will cost? Let me guess $150 -$200. I'm officially done with Sony.

Other good smartphone companies are also using smaller batteries compared to last time, mainly because current chipsets are much more efficient and faster. Most of the time these people who complain the battery size are the ones who use a lot. These people need to understand that even if it have a very big battery, it is still not going to improve their battery life since they use it a lot

I was truly excited when i heard that the xz1 will be having more battery than the xzs.. But now its already here.. Kinda disappointed about it.. Smallish battery.. Even the xzp struggling to compete with s8.. But now 2700mah on xz1? . Camera is full of useless features.. 3d scan? Who needs that.. I want a normal smartphone camera with good quality..

Its almost same design sony, at least please use dedicated microSD slot not hybrid sim tray! Duhh..

I don't understand why Sony has dropped the support for FM radio.
Last Sony phone I bought was the Z3 Compact. I guess I'll keep hanging onto it for backup.

Dude Samsung has added the low light feature in their camera in galaxy s7 a year ago a thing which xperia has since the Z1. If you just wanna live your life glorifying Samsung for their obsession with improvement which most are good fo nothing then be my guest. Let people choose to buy the hell they want to shove in their pocket
