danielle, 29 Dec 2017It's not totally noise free but samsung controlled the nois... moreThe noise is focused on dark structure thats why it cant be norice without zooming in. This probably the advantage of large aperture over smaller ones, but what could be the advantage of smaller aperture camera.

danielle, 29 Dec 2017It's not totally noise free but samsung controlled the nois... moreS8 only 12 MP, XZ is 23 MP, if you do the zoom in XZ zoom at 100% but S8 should zoom in 180% because the XZ pixel is almost double up than S8.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2017I visit a site where therw is sample of s8 lowlight photos,... moreIt's not totally noise free but samsung controlled the noise better than xz. While s8 has deep blacks than little bit grainy blacks on xz. Yes maybe xz is not same line as s8, but theres no big difference between s7 edge and s8 on camera comparison if s7 edge that should be compaired with xz.

danielle, 28 Dec 2017Having only best sensor isnt enough. It should be combined ... moreThat could be on no light scenario, I guess sony have graet sensor on xz1, the huge aperture maybe not that important if their is still light on your specimen for photos. Besides no one realy take photos in total darkes and it is normal to have noise on dark areas.

danielle, 28 Dec 2017Having only best sensor isnt enough. It should be combined ... moreU are right. But the most important one is the camera software, which is related to the last sentence of yours. The main problem is their software, it tends to crank up the ISO up till very high levels in low-light photos, plus because of the megapixel count, higher MP count causes more noise because of more pixels. I have the Z and X series and one thing I suggest the part they really need to put in a lot of effort is their software. They have the best camera sensor on their smartphones, but they have a camera software that ruins the camera sensor. I am not hating on them, I am just hoping that they can do a better job at improving the camera software, they have a higher MP count than the competitors and as I said already higher MP count will produce more noise than lower MP count which brings to the point that they need to put in much more effort for noise reduction

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2017Not exactly, but the aperture sony use for their phone was ... moreHaving only best sensor isnt enough. It should be combined with ois and bigger aperture. Having dual pixel could be more better but imx400 doesnt equip with dual pixel but the number of 19mp is good enough. The only bad on sony camera is a lot of noise but the details is sharp enough.

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2017I guess you need to know the manual mode to bring the best ... moreMost of people just want to point and shoot, even manual mode needs to use tripod while other brands just auto mode or hdr can do better job. Sony hdr doesnt do at all in lowlight, just capture more light but doesnt compensates noises.

Anonymous, 26 Dec 2017Nope, on amoled real apple looks like a plast8ic ones, its ... moreLike I already said, at the end it depends on how the manufacturer calibrates the display. My phone, a Galaxy A5, has an amoled display. Samsung, like Sony, allow users to calibrate display according to the user's preference. I can make my phone's display produce over saturated, highly vivid colours, or make the display produce dull and 'accurate' colours. So your argument that amoled displays produce inaccurate colours are totally wrong.
