Very nice phone! My screen broke, but it served me well until that happened! Fast, reliable, good looking. Camera OK, but could have been better. Easily dented ande scratched back casing due to aluminum material. Still prefer it contra glass.

          Best phone I've had so far. They just don't make them like that anymore. I love its RECTANGULAR display, not that rounded garbage they put in newer models. I LOVE its 16:9 screen. Much better than TV remotes of 21:9 Sony makes now. Mine might have died on me today, but it is an excellent phone even in 2021.

              You can always downgrade to Oreo if you're facing issues on Pie. No root is required, even if your Xz1 on locked bootloader is still possible. Tutorials can be found all over the net, just search on Newflasher (do not use Flashtool)

                  do not buy this one xz1, auto restart issue cannot fix, when play game or no play game, will auto restart, terrible phone.

                        Still worth it in 2021..the mobile phone works brilliantly without any problems on android 9..just don't root this mobile phone..believe me..because I use this mobile phone ..

                            It comes already with Android 9.

                              A great phone for its price, that I bought twice (stolen once, I was insured plus that's why I buy cheap phones, namely).
                              On the long term though, the GPS often get's off, and it doesn't seem entirely a calibration issue, the battery barely lasts a day (thankfully Android's, or Sony's not sure, Super Savings mod does save a lot of battery, but then you can't do media/gaming so well, obvisouly).

                                This is the best phone I ever have, compact body is better compared to other phones nowadays, the dual front firing stereo speakers and full hd screen is just enough to satisfy me when I use YouTube, and the battery life is great for a phone with 2700mah battery, I can get 5 sot (hours screen on time)

You get green artifacts after couple seconds and it freezes if its progressive (60 FPS) or something more demanding (H265...).

                                      Sony did the slow charging on purpose to conserve the health of the battery. Dumb**s people blaming Japanese tech. Get into tech more before complaining or just switch to another brand geez.
