The camera info is incorrect. It states that it records 960fps at 720p. Those ratings are for the XZ1 line of phones. The XZ2's record 960fps at 1080p.

Hashmika, 03 Aug 2018How is this battery life???I am a user and I can easily last through a day from 7 am to 12 am late at night before I need to charge - and I would still have approximately 30% battery at the end of the day. I am a moderate user and I play pokemon go intermittently through the day

You still have the latest Snapdragon, still have your screen, shape, RAM. SD card, wireless charging and/or whatever reasons you bought the XZ2 for!
What if Sony or whoever managed to improve on something or advance another technology (ie created a better camera technology) in the meantime? Should they wait to release it after one year just because it is too close to the current model's release? That is not called progress. That would be called marketing technique and it would be unfair to withhold the technology just to satisfy some current customers who always want to own the latest model, just because they care about model numbers ONLY.

i've just received mine today on black color and it's an amazing phone and the design looks real good in real life, it's not heavy and it's good built and very fast phone

And saying the s9 screen far behind is just a proof of your incompetence. Because no way one touted as best screen to date is far behind. I'd like to give you an advice, tels the pros and cons and then conclude which is the best overall.
Now you can google anything and come back here with better story.

Hi friends, i am currently using xz2, i am engineer and vefy deeply knowledge of cell phone, compare with s9 plus and even Samsung mobile has oled but far behind xperia excellent triluminus color and x_reality engine detail, camera has almost equal detail but s9 plus little bit brighter but overall picture xperia wins.. In speed comparison xperia well ahead,
I think sony is innovation, remaining all companies making fool to people, actually worldviewworld is full of ordinary people they don't have ability to understand..

sony XZ's is one of the classic model. Sony could use that type of model again make it thin and reduce the bezel add dual camera at the back. it will give classy look to sony phone.
