    Dual cams just do it more seamlessly, as both shots are taken at same time, and can be taken from more far away, due to different optics and wider available focal range between two cameras (for portrait mode), but them are also binded to some max distance to make the bokeh effective.

    DSLR is single camera bokeh/portrait too, but with much better optical system, wider focal range, and thus much better results than any mobile dual cam system.

        Tann Hauser, 09 Mar 2018You got XZ2? How? You tried it already?What he meant is the app from Sony called Bokeh, which was once named as Background Defocus. To be fair the app isn't the "bokeh" we see on the top smartphone cameras, it is just like photoshop apps from the Play Store, no difference. And it is all done by the app, not the camera software. It is two different matters if someone talks about bokeh with app or bokeh with their own camera software...

Blame apple for this, I remember read article in this site about apple has patented embedded fp scanner in power button before z5 launch. I'm sure this was one of the main reason Sony had to disabled their fp in the US. And so with this new design all US models will have fp enabled out of the box.

                    I heard that Sony XPERIA XZ PRO just MIGHT be released sometime in June as XZ Premium was released that time last year, is this a possibility?

                      Nobody copy Xperia XZ2 designs........
                      1- lower down the fingerprint scanner for better onhand operate
                      2- lower down the camera lens for don't get covered by the finger when photography and hold the phone with both hands in landscape mode.
                      3- design the dual front firing speaker with IP65/68 waterproof dustproof.
                      4- dedicated hardware camera button.
                      5- 3D rolled Gorilla Glass 5 back cover.
                      6- metal frame, which Sony says is "anti-twist" to stop it from warping and deforming.

                        Problem with Sony is that all their phones look the same and sound the same. Consumers cannot tell the difference. Marketing team need a good kicking.

That background defocus app is in playstore since original Xperia Z era and it DOESN'T WORK. I've tried on Z, Z3, XZ and XZ premium, it DOESN'T WORK. Just a useless app.

                                XZ2 has no 3.5mm jack.h it's OK

                                XZ2 has no FM Radio it's not OK actually.!!! Dear Sony I've only one favourite station! Bring us FM radio..

He is using Pro mode for the photos, which should only used by the pros. Obviously, this guy should stick to Auto mode. His metering is all over the place.
