If you saying the Xperia SP is similar to XZ2 Compact that's also wrong because the XZ2 Compact design is very clean and much smooth to fit in hand without protruding jackhole protruding USB port and the Ambient Flow design show the balanced look from every dimension.

There's a lot of ViVo smartphone vendors. And for every mall I went. I would encounter those Vivo stores. So compared to your own country(Which maybe somewhere in europe). My country encounteres a lot of smartphones. Particularly chinese smartphone brands.

This phone is not fullscreen. It has the same screen-to-body ratio as the 2-year old S7 edge. The thickness of this phone shows how incompetent Sony's engineers are. They don't how make efficient use of the phone's space. The S9+ has dual camera, more sensors, bigger battery and headphone jack and is a lot thinner than this phone.

Back curves copied from htc butterfly.
Back glass finish copied from htc u11's liquid glass.
And 11.1mm thickness with no headphone jack!!??
What's wrong with sony design team.
Simply shrink bezels of XZ premium and you'll get a better looking device.
I can't believe sony produce this ugly phone with no character.

Cause after all, app design is more important than actual camera capabilities, isnt it? Its an app design test site now.
You have to turn on hdr for photo manually? Nah, no points for hdr effect, "it is not auto present".
You have to turn on hdr video recording? Nah, no points to hdr quality video, "it is not auto present"
You have to download bokeh mode? Nah, no points for bokeh, "Xperia doesnt have it", they say.
Sony just preinstalled and renamed its background defocus to Bokeh.
I guess finally Xperia can get some bokeh points now at least.
If Sony grants them a device for testing at all, that is.
If I were Sony, Id avoid that bunch of circumstantial incompetents, that cant even bother to do click hdr button, or download an app extention, for proper and fair camera testing merrits.

Which one is better?... moreget your self XZ Premium, price should be dropped soon after the XZ2 debut.. i have an XZ Premium, the camera is amazing.. outstanding quality.. more natural and accurate color reproduction than samsung.... test it your self with your hands... do not trust reviewers... its all at your own convention.

When you pick up your phone your finger naturally rests over the sensor, so you can unlock it easier. I think you've never tried using a phone with a rear FP scanner. Use it, it's a lot easier than a front FP scanner.

There is plenty of room on the bottom for a fingeprint sensor. WHERE IS IT? I refuse to turn my phone over ever time I want to unlock my phone, and yes I could enter my passcode, but then what's the point of the sensor at all?! So irritated. This ones out for sure. 👎🏼

we've alredy seen this design few years ago, it was called Xperia SP and since i had nothing but Sony phones so I'm rather a disappointed Sony fan, then a troll. Sony should have used this design on XZ1 two years ago, now they are behind the market like Apple. At this point a Sony flagship should be completely bezel-less similar to the Apple screen made by Samsung, but they are focusing on crap like "dynamic vibration system"...

I don't think the design is ugly or anything it looks quite good. what I don't like about it is that it doesn't feel like sony and its not the most original. I would rather buy the htc11 plus which actually pioneered the reflective look of the back and also does it way thinner form factor. 11.1 and 12.1 mm thickness without a headphone jack is pretty ridiculous. and I wouldn't buy htc11 either btw because no headphone jack but otherwise i'd say both are fairly good phones.
i'm waiting for the premium at IFA which im sure will be better. If its not im just gonna buy XZ1/XZP
