Taiyo, 22 Mar 2018Sad to see the compact be lost in the sea of large phones. ... moreif I were sony i would have kept the 4.6 inch display but reduced the bezels to 85% screen to body ratio. that would have made everyone happy. have you seen their mp3 walkmans?

Sad to see the compact be lost in the sea of large phones. 5in screen though nice is to big, 4.6in was truly the sweet spot for one handed use. I guess I will have an xz1c until further notice.

For every one complaining about the thickness... I Have Z3C which is 8.something but xz2 compact fits much better into my hand and I didn't notice that it is thicker. 12.1 is in the center of the phone, on sides it is thinner. It perfectly fits into hand, it's very nice (much nicer than on photos) and it feels very solid. I was sceptical but now I have preordered it. Weight is also noticeable, but I kinda like it, it gives me a feeling that the phone is solid and durable. Finger print sensor is much more accurate as it is bigger, location is also fine, it is always on and unlocking is very fast. Display is beautiful, very smooth with nice colours. Front speakers are also much louder with better quality. It is different phone than rest of Xperias, but I like it as it is typical Sony, they do whatever they want. Either you love it or hate it

If you want a smartphone that can last at least 3 years then you definitely want Sony in general based on my experience.

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2018why? if the teardown reviewer says bad review, you will ba... moreI am curious what is inside the XZ2 compact, but from the Gsmarena's review I found it has a huge amount of metal frame, anyway the teardown should be more interesting, let's hope it can surpass S9 then it must be the best power horse compact phone fit in hands and the same time is the best for sporty lifestyle.

Hi guys, anyone knows if there is any protective glass in front of REAR camera to avoid scratches from keys etc...?
And second question: what´s about sony support in general. I mean software updates, security updates etc...
I would like to buy this phone instead of my Lumia 735 and I want to be sure that phone will last more than 3years that´s why these questions.

But, for a 12.1mm thick phone, l am sure it is not ergonomic and won't even fit in some pockets. What's the point of having a compact phone if it is not ergonomic? No wonder why no one buys sony phones nowadays. I miss old sonyericssions.

What the hell where they thinking?
I hardly belive that you can handle this phone with one hand. They could round the corners but is big 135? Noooo. 12.1mm thick? Omg. Well i guess the compact fans are out of options. Only waiting for xz1 compact drop price a lot. I guess that is the last android "compact " phone. 😕
