I liked Sony compacts, had a Z1 Compact an now I use a Xperia Z5 Compact - 8.9 mm thick and a 2700 mAh battery.
Now, almost 3 years after Z5 Compact launching, the XZ2 Compact is 12.1 mm thick (?), 2870 mAh and has no jack.
I guess I'll skip this "upgrade" and search for another brand's compact phone.

12.1 mm and 168g ?!! What f'ing a brick!! The Galaxy S9 weighs about the same (163g), is 8.5mm thick and has 5.8" screen!

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is only Phone from Sony with grat design, quality, performance and most of all with no problems like other models from Sony. This new phones are pathetic...12.1 thicknes, haha cmon Sony its 2018

ying zu, 11 Mar 2018main cameras ARE now moved to centre width in xz2 and xz2 c... morePeople can grip the Z5.. XZ.. big bezel and very comfortable even the camera is on the top corner is still very handy it has big bezel to grip. All of the design are great!

when it was stupidetly in the top corner my tumb finger always apear in the photos taken in 50-70 % of the time. THAT WAS REALY REALY TEALY STUPIED . I want to cry why sony engeeners took them ages and ages to figure out how idiotic was to place the back camera in the very top corner were your fingers holding the camera and cover the lens .

This phone is way too thick.
This phone has no headphone jack.
This phone has no more radio.
I'm actually ok with the screensize. It's the smallest 1080p+ smartphone and therefore can be called compact.
What people not realize is that this phone has a 18:9 ratio instead of a 16:9 ratio. It's still 6mm but it's still the most compact 18:9 phone today.
Sadly, the thickness of 12.1mm is ruining this phone entirely. I know it's thinner on the edges but I don't care because you can feel this bulge when you have this phone in your pocket. And that's what's bad about it.
