Please do not try to update the phone to android 10or x... It's freezes de phone 📱.. Makes phone slower. How I wish sony could hv kept some measure in place to handle ds issue.. All de same I love de phone.

I have both the XZ1 Compact and the XZ2 Compact and I have to say, I prefer the XZ1. It is more pocket-sized and has a headphone jack. I have lost calls and missed calls on the XZ2 because of the effects of plugging and unplugging the headphone jack adapter. It's a major PITA. if you are a bluetooth person, this will probably not matter to you. Also, the location of where you plug in to use a headphone is awkward, because now you have a thingy sticking out of the bottom of your phone. The only advantage of the XZ2 in my opinion, is that you can be on Verizon with it but not with an XZ1. In some cities, Verizon has the best (or only decent) reception.

I have to question WHY this model took the iPhone clone outlook, rather than sticking to original Sony's design? This is just bad...

Have this phone for 2 years, by far only have 3 issues:
1. Sometime throttles and a lot 9f ram usage of system
2. Still no mhl support so even with Android 10 that I received no lapdock option or etc working
Chromcast and screen mirroring are Laffy as hell
3. Camera is pure, works fine if you have hands from normal place and the weather is sunny. All other situations makes its sensor useless as for very poor settings and programming.
Everything else is quite great, size battery and etc.
Hope to see xperia phone with less then 5.99 inches at least.

Today ( 05.01.2020 ) I received Android 10 update for this phone. Scores went up on Antutu from 304k to 314k. Quite good.

Did you find any phone with... moreNo I didn't, I repaired my Honor 8 since battery was bad and I smashed screen, I hope that it will run for at least one year and I don't have Idea what to buy next. Probably in one year smallest screen will be 6.5", this is shit. At the end I will buy Nokia 3310 ;-)

In 2019 galaxy s10e and the mi9se are the only phones that i think is smaller to others but not in anyway a compact. The xperia 5 will be easier to grip but its a long phone.
I found a 2nd hand xz2c in my area for $280 but im thinking mi9se and mi9t is of the same price maybe i'll forget compact phones until one is available. S10e will be cheaper nxt year.

This phone sems to be only option for me now (10/2019) because all other phones with descent performance are just too big for one hand usage. But there is one big problem with it which prevent me to buy it, and this is a lack of 3.5 mm jack. I love mine wired good sounding headset which I don't wanna trade to BT ones with matched sounding quality.
