I've been using a note 3 since October 2013..and now I really want to upgrade..the xz premium seems amazing but would it be worth waiting for note 8 or pixel xl2 or Nokia 9..I'm a bit confused..any suggestions please..

Not impressed with the camera on this phone. Yes, even with Manual mode enabled. My S7 Edge still beats it.

You don't have to fiddle with isos and shutter speed to get better low light shots if you don't want to.

I just hope they get it right this time in the camera department, I bought the XZ as Sony promoted it as the best camera phone but it wasn't actually, flaws were there with the camera now they're banking heavily with this one hope it meets the expectations. C'mon Sony it's not that hard I really love their phones, hope this one hits the bull's eye.

If its auto mode is that bad, then perhaps try another brand. Manual mode is for pro cameras and serious photography.

It reduces the noise if u lower down the ISO to 200. Because Superior Auto Mode brings up the ISO to like 800 thats why it is noisy at night or in low light

You also said that you check the phone "thoroughly" including call quality before buying. Don't take this the wrong way that's overkill in most situations, surely? What? .... sorry, have I got this right? .... you take the phone out of the box in the shop? Conduct tests? Make and take calls etc? .. Eh?
What do you think the shop assistant thinks when you do that? Do you do this in a busy shop? ........... Please don't say you insist on 'booking an appointment" at time set at 'your convenience'?

The Sony definitely the top stable in Android second is Motorola third is HTC and the fourth and then is following by technology of Korea and China.
