XZ Premium and G6 my choices for replacement upgrade for my G3. Still no date from Sony for Canada availability. At this rate i'll most likely go with the G6.

Best smartphone of 2017. I love this phone. I love the damn awesome super slow motion 960fps. I have got one for myself and for my girlfriend, we are enjoying it. I would suggest also to those who are looking for a best smartphone just get this one, you will never regret.

The 4K display has no effect in performance since most of the time it uses 1080p, and switches to 4K when playing 4K content.

What keeps me away is the 4K display, I fear it has negative results on the phone smoothness making it more prone to lag/slowdowns/heating especially half a year later ,also really worried about battery longevity, 4K is such a drain with little use.
One could say its not always in 4K but xp shows with samsung even if you switch to lower resulotions, it only help to gpu nothing else.

The bloggers don't mention the PlayStation and DSLR but mention the TV and smartphone ( but you still can see in the survey people still claim Sony is quality, but they don't claim it to Samsung). It looks like the Samsung pay for the article to discredit Sony.
I have the Samsung smart TV, it isn't great but affordable price, but I know the wealthier people can easily choose Sony. Samsung just pay too much effort on defame Sony to open it market. If you have brain you can see whose love to assign blogger and writer. Japan Sony fans is damn quiet to express/promote anything (except for the advertisement purpose) maybe they have superiority mind and let the bloggers giberish, I am not Japanese I must say something to sharing my analysis.
If you know your competitors is stronger than you, what is the fastest way to take them down in a short period? Through the media discredit them and at the same time praising yourself. If they know they can't win the Taekwondo competition what will they do?.... If they know can't win the boxing what will they do? ....if they know MUST win the football game what will they do? ....

Sony said there won't be a successor to the Xperia X and X Compact, and not that they will not release midrangers. Yes, Sony focuses on their flagships, but they'll still release midrangers.

Also, Sony mobile is expecting better sales figures this year, so they're not disappearing anytime soon.
