Hi...I've been using this device for about 18 months.....
Pros:
1. Good protection with Spigen case. Looks gorgeous just holding it.
2. Very buttery smooth and lag-free operation.
3. Hi-res screen almost as good as OLED.
4. Old school design stands out in a sea of bezel-less also ran devices.
5. Xperia companion software is probably the best PC-suite for interfacing / resetting.
Cons:
1. No native support for dual apps.
2. Camera esp. in low light not the best despite Sony legacy.
3. Battery life average.
For the most part, I love the device a lot and hope to use it for a couple of years more at least.

Got mine more than a year ago and its working fine. not a single hang-up. Then about 4 or 5 months I update to Android 9 (Pie). Still no issues I encountered but I wondering about battery life. Seems after upgrading (up to latest patch of android 9) the battery seems to last a little shorter than before android 8 (Oreo) was installed. Thinking of flashing back to Oreo to confirm.

I am using it more than two years. No any trouble. Battery and charger working 100% well. Sony is very durable and user friendly.

Just had some water poured on it but still working smooth like new. Depends on how you use it though and careful you are.

The phone's general performance is excellent, but it seems to be filled with flaws. I've done my best to take proper care of it, but nowadays the malfunctioning is so horrid that I don't know what to do. The charger port apparently stopped working, and when I restarted my device, it won't seem to turn on anymore. The 120 second Up + Power key trick doesn't work either.
Instead of focusing on specs, phone companies should work harder on making sure their products last longer and have less errors like these. I have had this phone for only 2 years. This isn't normal.

Great phone still using it and never had any issues or problem in this one. I dont regret having this phone. Great camera, excellent music and sound quality, excellent 4K HDR display and battery life is really long. Must have for this Sony.

I so love this phone still kicking even this was released in way back 2017. Stunning performance, great battery life, colorful and great display. Everything in this phone is such a piece of excellence. No wonder why awarded as the best phone of 2017-2018. I love Sony phone and brand itself.

I just bought my 2nd one of this exact phone, had for 2 years then went missing, so got another, phone is way ahead of its time.
Highly recommended. very durable and performance is amazing.

H... moreAmm it's a great thing, mine has 195000 benchmark score and i play pubg on smooth and extreme settings, got so good camera and beautiful ips lcd screen and interface, but there is on thing that you should know, it has 1080*1920 screen with auto mode, i didnt tried to switch it in 4k because i don't know if it's worth it, so you can go check out xz1 it's the same only 520 mA battery deference and aluminum body.

My USB-C port is damaged, and needs to be replaced after less than 2 years. Otherwise great phone.

Same here. Xperia 1 costs EUR 950 with some mediocre headphones as a gift (not XM1000 3). If it was the latter or PlayStation, like it was with XZ3, I would definitely take it.
XZ Premium still performs really well, so no reason to upgrade.
