      GSMA compares the XZP's battery life to the XZ. I had the XZ and I was not impressed with the battery. The speakers were also weaksauce on that phone, and judging by the review the XZP might follow suit. :(

        I samsung fan but i want to buy the xz premium because the specs are great but according to GSM arena check photo quality photos S8 gets better photos than Xz premium...how can this be possible ?

          A company is 5 years ahead from a conpany who has a better screen, doesn't explode (well they did so much RESEARCH on how to explode batteries that they turned to sony for batteries)
          A brand that has copied pressure sensitive home button from apple
          A brand with the most laggy ui (well sony is far behind in lagging)
          You are one of those fanboys who are not aware of the surroundings even in 2017

            Sony and LG has the best ips LCD.
            Touchwise is very known for its buggy ui.
            Samsung used to copy the competitors especially apple and Sony...

It's not weird because everyone uses it. 4k resolution is overkill for a smartphone display. Even GSMArena pointed that out in their review of the XZ Premium. The XZ Premium display doesn't even defaults to 4k but to 1080p. There is no use for 4k in XZ Premium other than in viewing 4k content which doesn't even have any noticeable difference from 1080p. SuperAMOLED display is the best screen technology right now. Samsung now focuses on improving the quality of the already best display rather than increasing the resolution. Even Apple which has the best IPS LCD display is moving towards AMOLED. Samsung doesn't lag. You're so 4 years late. That accusation is only perpetuated by people who've never used a S7 or S8. No S7 or S8 user will tell you their phones are slower than any other Android phone. Touchwiz is so much better now. It's simpler, cleaner, more elegant, faster and more advanced. I actually hate how simple it is because everything in the UI now looks black and white. I prefer the more colorful and intricate old Touchwiz. The Xperia UI hasn't changed or added any new features in years other than whatever stock Android brings.

                Samsung is the most innovative smartphone maker right now. They're now the blueprint in mobile technology (previously Apple).

                  In some countries this phone may sell more than an s8+. This phone will have a very high price tag. If I am going to spend that much money on a phone upgrade, I will definitely buy a s8+ at the moment and an iphone 8 later on in the year.... There is nothing to justify me to get this phone for those huge bezels, huge form factor....

                    I guess 5 years in the future phone is still limited to 10 minute of 4K footage and choppy 240fps slow mo, still mono speaker, still weird 2K resolution, still cheap pentile amoled, still laggy as hell, no wonder they're refer android as laggy if Samsung is the future
                    "Samsung software keep getting better" did you mean keep getting lagggy? Yeah they come a lot way with grace ux, but it still full of unnecessary bloatware and still again suffer lag
                    If sony and other oem is truly 5 years behind than samsung must be good 7 to 10 years behind, while other company had finally nailed down the lag on android and advancing toward hardware features, samsung still with their infamous lagdroid and focusing on gimmick, while company like sony and and htc already offering premium material since Z era and One era, samsung is cheapo plastic, not yo mention Sony pioneered waterproofing in flagship, htc brought dual camera and dual speaker on phone, not to mention lg with its V series where smartphone can give a proper manual control both for still and video capture
                    Samsung? They invented the amoled and that is the best thing they contributed on smartphone, beside that? Nothing.

                    Every OEM has it own contribution in smartphone, saying samsung is 5 years ahead is simple selfish and blind, samsung is great company, so other oem, they sought their own purpose with their own prowess, so don't be fanboy, it's not healthy

This is announced by Sony official in Japan interviews through Taiwan eprice.

                        The camera testing in this review is perplexing, every other publications has praised it's camera for its low light image processing and OIS. S8 doesn't preserve the night sky it makes it yellow jacking up the OIS making everything yellow. The S8 4k video recording also has a jello effect. S8 also limited to just 10 mins of 4k recording

                        XZP runs cool thanks to massive heat sink, good fingerprint scanner placement, stereo speakers, QC 3.0, 4K HDR, 960fps slow mo, solid optimization...much better package over vs the S8. The only issue is battery life. However the software isn't final on the device. XZP is also on Android 7.1

                        Deep Sea Black is a wonderful color a gorgeous phone, won't sell like the S8 but it's a better device.

Sony is 5 years behind Samsung and even other Android OEMs. Samsung is the only one innovating right now. They invest millions in R&D much moreso than Apple does. Sony just keep recycling their old products. Not to mention they are cost-cutting which is the reason why they manage to gain profits despite the all-time low sales last quarter. Samsung's software keeps getting better and better and more features are being added with each update whereas Sony's is basically unchanged except for whatever new features stock Android brings.

                                  Remember, its a Screen on time test on 200 nits with real usage pattern, some standby, some no wifi use, some wifi browsing, some gaming, some video watching, camera recording, some talking etc....
